My 2024 AWD Eco Lariat has an AGM battery.
I’ve turned off the data collection but keep the
Wi Fi and auto updates on.
It sat untouched for two weeks due to weather
I used my multi meter, negligible voltage drop.
Started at 12.6 VDC and two weeks later 12.5

I have solved my battery drain issue by going to the Ford Pass App on the Touchscreen and turning off connectivity . I turned off automatic updates , Wi-Fi and toggled off insurance data . I deleted my ford app on my phone . Now it’s not searching for my Wi-Fi signal parked in my garage . It’s not gathering info for my insurance company to use against me in court if I have an accident . It’s not refreshing to find a nearby ford dealer or my location if I want to navigate somewhere . I don’t need the fordpass app to tell my tire pressure or any other info , because all I have to do is look at the dash settings for that . All these things were draining my battery when the truck was off . Also no clicking noises now when it’s off . Try it if you are having the issue . Of course it could be a defective battery or the module that controls connectivity in the truck to the app . Ford may not have not told anyone this because they want to keep you connected to the app which is not necessary .
You have not solved this issue!

What solved all of the clicking? I did everything you have.

Also no clicking noises now when it’s off

Mark, It is a good enough solution for most of us....

It's not a solution, it's masking the problem. Your right if good enough is ok. I paid better than good enough money, so I expect it to perform as intended. Good luck.

I would say it is avoiding the problem, I did not could care less about those features, they are not the reason I purchased the maverick in the 1st place. If fact I would rather not have any of those features installed on my Mav

Thank you, so much!

Our battery drains several times a week. I can assure you it's not the battery itself, because we thought it was our battery and bought a new one March 5th. And the Ford service guys who let us buy it and installed it for us never said a word about this ongoing issue!! Now, with the new battery draining all the time, they tell us we have to wait for the software update, which was due in the first quarter of 2025. Interesting that this issue never happened prior to the last software update they performed. I can't help wondering if they introduced the glitch in that last update.

Anyway, tomorrow we will see if we can recreate your result.

Sometimes the light for our truckbed comes on for no apparent reason. We thought it might be that one of us bumped our key or something, but now we've actually seen it come on in the middle of the night when our keys are in the closet in our coat pockets. So something's not quite right.

Thanks for the possible fix! Stay tuned.

It's not a fix, you'll be hiding the problem. There is a fix coming. Others have suggested pulling fuse 11 to stop telematics. If you are going the DIY fixes, go all the way. Anyway, did you know that when you shut off the vehicle after about an hour it does a series of tests on components, one being the EGR and gas tank pressure test using the 12v battery. That is part of the issue and you can't control it. Also recharge rate may not be sufficient, you can't fix that. I'm on my second battery and my tests show it is being drawn down slowly again. Dealer covering them under warranty. Good luck.

Hopefully disabling software updates doesn't invalidate any warranty claims in the future.
I don’t see how it could. You are not forced to have a cell phone or wifi.

Saludos

Get yourself an AGM battery, local or Amazon.

BTW, all 2025's have AGM. No issues with our 2 2025 XLT hybrids

The Hybrid clicking is due to the keyfob being near the vehicle and it preparing to be used, pressurizing the fueltank, checking voltages and connections, etc. Just keep your keyfob in a Faraday pouch or tincan and it will stop. You should be doing that anyway, to avoid a vehicle theft.

Not yet, since its not yet old enough to show the problem. An AGM battery is somewhat more resistant to sulfation than an EFL battery, just delaying the inevitable failure. You still have the same incorrect BMS programming that all other years have, causing the battery to severely undercharge all the time. We're still waiting for the missing fix that was originally promised for 1Q25, and its going to apply to your truck as well.

I am not sure Ford's ever going to actually address this. I would not really wait for it. They may correct it on future models, but I don't see them making a retrofit change that will alter the formula used for prior and exiting CAFE ratings and costs. This issue is one that will probably prevent me from ever buying a Ford product again, although I'll live with it for now in this Maverick. My plan: noco g5 every 10 weeks, pull fuse 11, carry jump pack, and buying replacement AGM battery after warranty runs out.
