For what it's worth, I have not updated my ACCM at this time since I'm not having any symptoms. Before I took ownership of it, it was started once and sat on the lot untouched for a little over a month. And I had no issues with it. Even if my vehicle does now have an excessive draw, I suspect I will never know it because I drive it virtually every day. It may sit 24 hours about once every month. And I drive it 45 miles each way back and forth to work 5 days a week, so it would get a full charge anyway. I may update it a couple of days before the warranty expires for one reason. Since I work at the dealership, I can have the vehicle written up, and get paid roughly 1/2 hour or so to work on my own vehicle 🤣. Also, it will be to put it on record as having had the problem before the warranty expired just in case they offer another solution. But thus far I have had no issues. And because I drive so much, I put approximately 90 to 100 miles daily on my Maverick.
So how many miles are on Your 2025 Hybrid Maverick?

on trucks that have this chronic problem with multiple attempts to diagnose and fix it with all resulting in failures Ford should have the decency and intelligence to say well we have a perfect test case to work with so let's give the customer a brand new truck and we'll keep this one along with the others in the so called 'small universe of failures' and then we'll concentrate on that stable of problem trucks to see what the similarites are among them and maybe, just maybe, they'd find the solution.
In an ideal world this would happen, in the real world it's unlikely.

My Maverick is always in deep sleep too, and I would love it if Ford gave me one without issues. At this point I know full well this will never happen, and to be honest I doubt they'll ever fix the problem for everyone.

45 miles each way to and from work for a total of 90 miles daily even if I do no additional driving . Add another 120 miles or so for weekend and miscellaneous driving , (church, mom's house, personal errands, etc). The miles add up quickly. I put around 25k yearly on my old vehicle. And I had another vehicle to drive occasionally. Now I only have this one. So it gets it all. Looks like the original equipment Goodyear tires are wearing well. I'm pleased with them

Thanks for the update, OP.

For those who wonder why there's not a permanent fix yet, I've been watching these threads and I think part of the issue is it's not a consistent issue among the trucks with the problem. I have a '24, took delivery 1/30/24. I've had the battery drain issue twice in that time. Both times I had driven the truck the day before, so it wasn't a "sitting idle too long" issue.

To my knowledge, I"m the only owner my dealership has dealt with that has the issue. When it happened the second time, I had to educate the service department on the SSM. I've received the latest software update when it happened the second time (about 2 months ago). Fingers crossed it is the solution for me. But, if not, I have AAA for the jump to get me to the dealership.

In the "it's not just Ford" category - I ordered a Clore battery jumper to keep on hand for this issue. It was defective and I had to send it back. Cost me almost as much to ship it back as I paid for it. Go figure.
True, while the problem seems common based on the number of people complaining, the vast majority never experience it. And for those that do, the problem is very intermittent. So normal current draw test methods to isolate the source and determine whether a fix is successful don't work.

It seems to me, there are 2 issues going on……
In the year & 3/4s I’ve my 2024 hybrid, I’ve had maybe 8-10 deep sleeps.
My issue is-
I can hook up a NOCO Genius 10 charger, let it fully charge,6-8 hours,
then, do a BMS/BCM reset, get proper indication of battery light,
lock the truck, double honk, & leave for 10 hours……,
then, look at the battery SOC and it’s rarely above 50% !
the battery is not being charged to 80%……. Bill P
Truth be told, as long as there's an intermittent drain, the battery monitor will not be consistently accurate. That's not really the main issue. Battery drain is the issue. The Hybrid battery can drain to a very low state of charge and still start because all that's needed is enough power to wake the modules up enough to where the high voltage battery can start the vehicle. Anyway, if the battery drain issue is fixed, the battery state of charge reading will become more accurate over time.

I'm sure Ford has a few test vehicles because they've had to buy some of them back through the lemon law. Ford had agreed to buy the vehicle back we're dealing with. It sat at our shop for a couple of months just waiting. But the person who was in charge of following through at the business who owned it dropped the ball and missed the agreed upon deadline by a couple of weeks. That's on them because Ford had already made an exception for them since the vehicle was far beyond the normal time. It was about 2 1/2 years old.

To Bob, buyback vehicles are retitled as lemon which drastically reduces the value. They are then sent to auction to be sold as is.
Thanks for the info. If I had more time on my hands, buying that sort of thing would be entertaining. Getting great deals on salvaged vehicles.

Well then they should start designing less complicated vehicles - honestly, the Mavs drivetrain, electronics and a good number of other components are not unique to the truck, they should be able to engage SMEs to figure this out if they are incapable of doing so.

There's a YouTube channel called Royalty Auto, if you don't know them check them out, they're amazing for diagnostics on crazy issues ... Anyhow on some cars with parasitic draw they use a thermal camera to search for devices that are draining batteries. On many older cars it's the radio and you can see it clear as day on the thermal! Might not work on the Maverick since the guilty module is probably under the dash somewhere but maybe it could ...
That's normally a great idea. But if the culprit is the air condition control module as Ford suspects, that module is a part of the compressor assembly and buried underneath near the bottom of the engine and inaccessible

Agreed. I'm sure Ford agrees too. I honestly believe they are truly trying to find a fix. Im wondering why this is a problem unique to the Maverick and not present on the Escape hybrid that uses essentially the same system.
I Googled the Ford F-150 and it too has the Sleep failure issue...with Ford service scratching their heads on the F150 also.

It is not just hybrid that have a problem. I have a 24 ECO that does it . Being a retired Ford tech I have tried to diag the concern myself. Problem is by time you set up to test, the problem not there anymore. I did note that the heater for the front camera had been on. the windshield in front of the camera was warm, 70 degrees outside truck not turned on. Time to go to my dealer and my buddy and drop it off again

Thank you for the info, it is truly the only thing about my truck that I dislike! VERY FRUSTRATING! I was told to just keep it hooked up to a charger, which I am not sure how to do, reg battery or hybrid battery. Bandaid fix at the very least.
If somebody told me to just keep it on a charger I would snap. For one the batteries underneath the back seat. Two it's a brand new vehicle absolutely ridiculous solution

This is really good to hear. I will say this. I can drive my truck non-stop from Orange County CA to Lake Havasu and back home, running the AC, and I will most likely get the "Sleep Mode" message the next morning. Thats just under 9 hours round trip driving.

If I drive the truck for weeks at a time, doing stop and go driving and I don't run the AC, ......no messages. The AC system has to have something to do with the drain.
I run into Deep Sleep after 2+ hour trips. Daily trips with AC on. No Problem. on my 3rd battery (2022)
