Retired Ford dealer tech here. I have a 24 2.0 L Eco Maverick with a draw concern. Been to the dealer a number of times. I have been doing my own diag . The causes I have noted are fuel pump run , transmission solenoids cycle , throttle body moves, and just recently noted the ACM stays on or...
Darryl,
An update. I went to the dealer and had an RO opened and hotline contacted. Was informed they know about the concern and are working on it.
Being a tech had to dig deeper myself. I upgraded the sound system, story for other day. I put a camera in the truck at the amps to monitor them...
Retired Ford dealer tech. 20+ years at same dealer where I take it. My buddy has been there more than 30 years. I do understand Fords process. We have been talking about it. Have had more contact with the hotline then I care to think about over the years. Thanks
Retired dealer tech. I have a 2024 non Hybrid having the same concern . I have been to the dealer 4 times. Several conversations with my buddy over this. Being intermittent is the biggest concern. I have been attempting to diagnose. All modules have been updated , battery replaced twice second...
Retired tech , still contact my buddies. U0253 is a common code on Mavericks. Have been told to ignore it. If you do The pinpoint tests it will lead you to nothing wrong.
After 50 years of repairing vehicles and noting that some things still not working after charging a battery to full charge. You should do a BMS reset for systems to know full voltage has been restored. I have charge my battery and still had concerns which were corrected after a BMS reset. I...
It is not just hybrid that have a problem. I have a 24 ECO that does it . Being a retired Ford tech I have tried to diag the concern myself. Problem is by time you set up to test, the problem not there anymore. I did note that the heater for the front camera had been on. the windshield in...
Do you fill it up with the key turned? that take a long time to rest properly.. No way to calibrate. It will be the gauge or the sender. Someone with a scan tool that allows gauge testing to check the gauge and go from there.
I noted in your photos that mileage shows 2500 and 5000. do you reset trip meter each fillup?
MPG will show drop if not reset to 0 on both. It calculates over total miles. Former dealer tech, retired. Have done mileage complaints about poor gas mileage due to this. Also do the calculation...
Code p0451 is the fuel tank pressure improper reading. If the code does not clear the fault is still present . Would suspect failed fuel tank pressure sensor. If you have over filled many times sensor could have been damaged by liquid fuel. You need to read the sensor voltage with a scan tool...
The a/c system will switch from recirc mode to fresh air after a certain amount of time due to software to allow fresh air to vent stale air and keep you awake.
Correction, Info not in owners manual but the shop manual.
