I would, manufacture will do anything to get out of paying for things.

Ok it's simple you download the file open it up and edit the code.

Things that can change.

Your mileage illegal roll back

The drive modes sand tow eco sport ect
With out hardware ie sand mode on a hybrid it simply won't do anything no rear differential. The shift points in the transmission can get funky between hybrid and non hybrid not ideal.

The adaptive cruise can be turned on buy won't work it needs the square sensor on the front bumper it's the sonar unit.

So basicly most modes need additional hardware installed to work properly it's cheaper to buy I as an option. Hill decent is added with fx4 it requires a button to be installed and wired in if you don't have it.

I have the tow haul and the fx4 if you look closely it gives you diffrent gearing in the rear differential transmission cooler bigger radiator. With out 4k tow you lose trany cooler and with out fx4 you lose skid plate drive modes and down hill control.

Much cheaper to buy it then to add it later by the time you buy parts rig it up program it. Now down the road if you can get parts from a wrecked car and add it in might be worth while.

Th cruise control I find when going down hill speeds adaptive actually applys the brakes they did it on purpose since people want it to slow down and maintain the right speed they don't necessarily need it to keep distance from a car

That was the point of the truck... cheap.
That was/is the versa's point as well but it has it. It's a minor complaint, I'll probably get a replacement switch and see if I can get that to work.

Maybe I'm missing it but it would be nice to have a sticky with the answer to this question (everything known working so far) with links etc...

It's kind of hunt and peck right now and doesn't seem to be answered in this thread either.

I had to sign a document saying any modifications would void the warranty..
By adding cruise control you voided the engine warranty? Or the A/C? I understand setting off the drivers airbag might be a cause for concern. Or changing engine specs. Rest doesn't make sense to me.

I'm with you!
I have read and re-read the directions here on the forum and can't disable the damn thing.

That would be nice!

no forscan needed for that.

I'm curious about this as well.

As an example, I'm comparing a lot of the features that are advertised on the upper model Escapes and am wondering these can be activated in my Lariat Lux.

Things like:

Also, I posted about this before, but I'm still interested in the Phone as a Key tech and would like to know if this can be done with the Maverick. Ford's marketing said, " Coming first to the Mustang Mach-E and then rolling out to future 2021 models." It sounds like if it was well recieved, it would have been a feature that they could have activated.
I bought my 2022 XLT in early December and the dealership had activated my “phone as key” as I was signing paperwork
