I've been pretty laid back about the whole scheduling thing. Have to admit though that these push-outs are disheartening.

I was too until some jackass rear-ended me at a light and totaled my old truck. Can't bring myself to buy something used at the current prices and the Maverick is a freaking steal for the price.

I am just about to order a carbonized grey xlt with 4k towing and 110v /w inverter. A couple dealerships are hopeful for 8-12 weeks, while 1 said 5l6 months. Just wondering if I should expect 6 months build time for a new order.

Placed my order last Saturday. How long did you have to wait to get a response that your order was received?

It all seriousiness and not to seem like an arse. How soon did people realistically think they would get the truck? When I order in july my dealer told me it would most likely be spring. I got lucky it wont be, but was planning march april until i got the build date email.
I ordered 6/25. I was being optimistic about a Christmas delivery.

I've seen this question over and over on this forum and the implication is that everyone who is unsatisfied with the delay was just being unrealistic. So let me throw this out there.

I ordered during the first two weeks. I knew Ford intended to start production in September and was targeting 100k units per year, or about 1900 per week. I thought that during the ramp-up they might average 1000. I figured I was in the first 10,000 orders, and that running production at half-speed Ford could probably produce that many units by the end of November.

It hasn't worked out that way -- particularly for hybrids -- but was it really unrealistic?

(BTW, if you search my posts you won't find me complaining about the delay. That's fruitless. My point is just that people who expected Ford to accomplish half of what it planned weren't being unreasonable.)

thanks for the information I never knew the production numbers. Thats is not unreasonable Yeah it would seem then they could knock out most of them this year but according the the new information looking like they might not ever produce close to 10000 by the first of the year.

(I feel everyone has the right to complain . Seems like if that was the cause ford should have been a bit more forthright with how many they would produce before Jan 1

I thought the numbers were 3k in September, 3k in October, 4k in November and 4k in December? So around 14k by end of year. Granted many of those would be dealer units, all of which are ecoboost, and then 65% of the rest are ecoboost. So I was guessing about 3k hybrids built by the end of the year. Of course the problem is that there may be 27k hybrid orders. I don’t think there are any really problematic production issues with the ecoboost

Tim quoted 2700 for November and 4900 for December that Ford is shooting for. I guess that October is around 1500 and in September builds only started on 9/16 so I guess maybe 500.

500 + 1500 + 2700 + 4900 = 9600

I also ordered on Aug 24. Xlt 2.0 liter ecoboost carbonized gray with AWD, 4k tow package, fx4, spray-in bed liner and full sized spare. No news yet. Just had my salesman change the priority code from 19 to 10. I don't know if that will do anything, but here's hoping
