You should be able to plug a four pin plug into you existing harness if you can get it from ford . did this on my f150 . I currently have the fx4 and just checked the full size spare and looked at the wiring harness to check for adding a 7 pin connector which looks like it would work . fx4 already has hitch and 4 plug connector .
