It's quite a ways down and very low speeds are required. regen and engine braking will help but the friction brakes are going to be applied a lot of the way down.

Yes.

Low speeds and steep are the problem. Both going up and down.

Low speeds going down will overheat your brakes.

Low speeds going uphill will overheat your traction motor. (Hybrid)

The hybrid gas engine does little for you at slow speeds in either direction on steep hills. And your battery is small and either full or empty in the first 1 minute.

I'm slacking at about 3750 ft. max elevation, driving to the highest valley in Eastern North America. Snowshoe is 4840 and you can get to that elevation in the Grayson Highlands as well. I'm sure plenty of roads in North Carolina will get you higher. To the North, Vermont has a couple of private roads to go to 4000ft and of course Mt Washington at over 6200 feet. I gotta get my shit together and get high.

I live in Florida which is all under 400 feet. I did go to Atlanta once so probably 1000 feet. I think i got altitude sickness and am recovering in paradise.
