I took the cog railway from Manitou Springs up to the peak last fall. Weather was crazy up there. The Maverick stayed at Cheyenne Mountain.If all goes according to plan, by this time next week, I should have reached 14,115ft, the summit at Pikes Peak.

I'm actually planning on doing both, drive up/down the maintain, then take the Cog Train ride.
