Welcome to the club! Great looking Mavs.
I tried to have my son buy one, but he wants to go full electric.
I live 10 miles east of you just off route 2 by Wild Wings. Great weather is finally here!
40 psi cold all around. Not just better mpg, but more even (better) wear. Better steering response. Which is a safety improvement as well.
If your tires have a max of 45-50, your chances of a blowout caused by a high than recommended pressure do not increase. Low pressure does.
If your tires...
FWIW, in my 40+ years of driving,
Shell gives me the best mileage most consistently. Chevron's a close second. Since moving to Ohio I have no access to Chevron anymore. I tried "Kroger" fuel. Total garbage. Probably the ethanol. All anecdotal, but Shell is it for me.
FYI, if you get the Shell...
Thanks for doing what you're doing. I hate seeing nice/unique cars disappear into the dirt.
There's a Buick Grand National a few miles from me up to the body in dirt. The property owner only uses it as a prop to hold Xmas decorations. Shame.
Are you collecting Contours? Not a bad choice. I never owned one, but was impressed with the few I'd driven. It felt like Ford finally understood there was a market for stiffer, better handling cars. Thank you Ford of Europe. Styling was decent too.
I know one thing for sure. If I go to start my mav (nonhybrid) it will start and get me where I'm going. Safely and efficiently. Modern vehicles give plenty of warning signs for potential problems. And even take protect action. Don't ignore them and your golden. Go back to the 60s-80s vehicles...
I guess I'll be the guinea pig. 7.5k oil changes. 60k transmission/ptu/rdu changes. And I use start/stop.(not always)I'm sure it causes some wear, but nothing like what towing, mountains, and stomping on the gas cause. 76k total miles so far. We shall see.
And yet you take the time to read and respond to a topic that you are bored with.....
OP wanted to ask actual people, not the internet with it's boiled down answers, about a topic. That's why we're here. Novices and "experts."
No center console safe. No moonroof. After the fact, I don't use either one. I would have ordered White instead of the ubiquitous Cactus Grey. White is a great canvas for visual mods IMO.
It definitely depends on your usage and driving style, as many here have stated. I would not benefit significantly from a hybrid since I mostly travel freeway. I love the power and handling of the EB. Plus I had to have AWD, so it forced my hand for my 2022. I'm glad it did.
People make a huge...
