Last week was same fuel from same station, same run was 38 mpg but 70*.Are you accounting for the switch to summer fuel that gets you about 10% better mileage than winter fuel?
A/C normally pulls 1-2 amps which is 2-4 hp, as a note it takes about 40 hp to sustain 70 mph. It's a pretty small effect unless you're doing city stop/go and have it at max.We only drive short trips 3-5 miles and according to AI running your air conditioning at high levels (like in Columbia, SC) in the summertime gives you worse gas mileage. So going back to my previous statement I’ll expand, we don’t get much if any freezing temperatures and do so a decline for 2-3 months but we get the same decline June-August when its 95-100 everyday.
On my drive at 94* outside it was running at 2 amps the entire way, which looks like was more than made up for by the increased efficiency of the engine at that temp.
