Hahahaha! My first real job, while in high school, was as an auto parts delivery driver, in a mid-60's Econoline/Falcon van, with the engine between the seats.

Best thread ever. OP has a sense of humor. Now, if we can only merge this with the "Anybody regret buying a Lariat" thread, we can have another amusing civil war on MTC.

It's like The Matrix. I think we're on the twentieth iteration of the "you're dumb if you bought a Lariat" vs "you're dumb (and cheap) if you bought an XL" thread.

Us XLT guys are in the middle watching the heavy artillery fly back and forth over our heads.

The only threads better than XL vs Lariat are the BEV threads and anything that dares say "Santa Cruz" in the thread title. Oh wait, I forgot the recent nuclear thread option - mentioning tariffs.

No regrets. I love my monthly payment. And after swapping the steelies out for new wheels, my XL looks like a Lariat.
Ditto. Sold my 22 XLT for a 22 XL at granger and basically got it for $16k (at 0% apr). Can’t do that anymore so no regrets…

No regrets. I would order it the same way if my options were the same. I do love the XLT wheels I added though (MTC member takeoffs).

Sorry, but you could have saved money with a XL or had it all with the Lariat! The middle isn't safe ground. 🤣

Auto parts trucks don't have back seats or cruise control, air, power windows, remote start, AM-FM,

I live alone so I don't need power seats, Sirius radio, moon roof, heated seats, leather, Mercedes version of ON-STAR like my last car had.. or automatic windshield wipers that activate when the nearby car splashes you windshield while washing his.. At 75 I don't need to pick up chicks in a sports car only few can afford today.

I hate those XLT mag wheels. and $1500 more was way too much. I put silver spokes on my XL- new at Discount tire for $752 mounted with tax.. Got a tonneau cover new- open box on Amazon for $124 and spray in bed liner for $400 I have a buddy who did a 1500 ram with a "spray in" Kit that was really rolled on.. took him a full weekend..mostly sanding by hand to rough up the bed... looks as good as mine.. and my other truck looks as good too It's X-line..

I instead spent the $1500 I saved not getting the ugly painted black mag wheels and got the hybrid.. Cross town 60 mile doctors appointment about 50% highway, I got 44.7mpg..

Waiting for the "Has anyone ever regretted getting a XLT?" And "Has anyone ever regretted getting a Tremor?" topics next.
Why not? Sort of in a bit of a dead period, news wise. We need something to talk about.

All trucks that I've owned have been work trucks. Many were even auto parts delivery trucks at one point. :ROFLMAO: XL is perfect.
I don't understand the logic of a truck as a status symbol.
