    Thanks. Because of Ford’s price I was looking at alternatives. But after your reply I dug a little deeper into the vault offered by Ford. It does have a bottom , but there is a cutout for the fob access. Guess I’ll have to recalculate to decide if I really need it at the price. Thanks again.

    I was thinking of adding the locking safe/vault to the center console. But that would block access to the key slot at the bottom of the console. Is the only solution to cut an access hole in the bottom of the vault?

    That would explain the the precision directions for closing the hood, included in the owners manual. Complete with the height from which to drop it from.

    You don’t mention what the battery is that delivered with your truck. My 2025 Mav Hybrid Lariat arrived with an AGM battery. I wouldn’t expect a “deep sleep” problem to arise for me.
