I think it adds character to the truck - it says "I work and I am not a show piece". Realistically, I it bothers you, have your neighbor try buffing it out. I am dreading the day of the "first scratch/ding" on mine, but historically, I do nothing except cry about it for a couple of days.
Got my Lariat in July 2024 and I have exactly 10,560 miles on it (looking at Ford Pass). Remote start, heated seats and steering wheel are my favorite features... the B&O stereo is really nice - Sync 3 works perfect. I have the Hybrid and I reset the average mpg at 5000 miles and it reads 35.1...
You are on point with your comments….you can fix up a XL with a lot of goodies cheaper EXCEPT nobody factors in their time spent….my truck is done and I don’t have to get new tires and rims - and sell the old ones, etc.,etc.
I have the Lariat, and I love the XLT wheels …..son has the XLT, so I can’t compare my Lariat to the XL. My truck was a retirement gift from my wife, and was a total surprise…she knew I liked the Maverick because I said I wanted a truck like my son’s. I used to own a Ranger (1995) and loved it...
I have had a delivery guy ask about mine. Before I got mine, I was one of those pesky old people that came up to a guy in the parking lot of Home Depot and asked about his Maverick….I also offered to help load some windows he bought.
