Its not relating to the version of Android I have. I'm running an S22 running Android 13.

I guess we'll see what happens on the 24th. As others have said, if it was relating to the 3G shutdown, that happened over a year ago.

My tin foil hat opinion is that Ford signed a 5 year agreement with AT&T for data service for vehicles to provide those services and that contract is now up for the older vehicles and Ford doesn't want to enter into a new contract.
Tin foil hat theory may be the case. Who knows what Ford had in mind when they first signed the contract with AT&T. The new contract may be more in line with Ford's current plans but older vehicles may get dropped as a result.

23 Ford Maverick Lariat here, and no messages of any sort in my Ford Pass or in any e-mails. I’m also using an iPhone 12 running iOS version 16.4.1.

My phone is a Motorola G7 that has Android 10 on it and I just updated the FordPass app today to Version 4.26.0.

I restarted my phone to be sure that I would be running the latest FordPass app that was just updated.

On the FordPass app I saw no messages and I was able to successfully Remote Start then Stop my MY2022 Ford Maverick.

Has anyone else received this notice in the FordPass app?

What is the Version Number of the FordPass App on your phone?

Google Play was showing today an update on my phone for the FordPass App which I did.

The App now shows Version 4.26.0 and an install date of April the 3rd which is strange as it was just updated/installed today on April 19th.

I wonder if there was a buggy release that happened and they rolled the app back.

You might want to see if there is a new update to the FordPass App on your phone.

I updated my app right now on my Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra and no message.

  • I have do not have this messages on my Ford Pass App
  • The Ford Pass website still shows on the top of the first page: "Access complimentary remote features, like start/stop, lock/unlock, schedule a start,... "
  • A google search for "Ford Pass Update" shows nothing related tho this.

Maybe that was too subtle...

I don't see much value in people posting that they don't have this message. We would all get value if anyone else has the message.

My 2017 C-Max used to have some connectivity...now there is nothing but its picture and a statement that "This vehicle does not have connectivity." The 2020 Transit and 2023 Maverick still all work fine. I just updated to 4.26.0...but the C-Max disappeared prior to the update.

Have not received this message but the wife has an LG phone and has received message that due to LG no longer making phones software will no longer be updated so some apps may lose some or all features. Also some cellular frequencies are being repurposed to 4g LTE service. You may lose 3g access to protocol changes in 3g signal depending on your cellular provider.

One reason I'm always cautious on updating apps. Also why I haven't updated my sync 3 radio since purchasing my Maverick last year.
Have you tried to install an older APK of the Ford pass app?
