Yeah, I set up the hotspot a few days ago and created a trial account with AT&T. I'm in Canada so we don't have AT&T, but after the trial they apparently will hand me off to Bell. In any case, the hotspot was working a few days ago and now it isn't.

Vehicle hotspot menu showed full bars of 5G, so the modem can see a cellular network. My cellphone was able to see and get DHCP/IP from the vehicle's wifi router, but it couldn't get an internet connection.

So maybe the hardware is fine, but Ford has an issue with their cellular provider.
Maybe the trial is also physically handed off and roaming data is not activated,??? Or?
ETA: If you are using your phone as hot spot wouldn't you be using your cellular data?
ETA: If so do you have data roaming activated on your cell phone??

Entirely possible, although well above my pay grade to be able to repair it.

Vehicle hotspot is a router in the vehicle that allows cellphones/tablets in the vehicle to access the internet via the vehicle's modem. It has nothing to do with the data on your own cellphone at all.

Nope, that was truck as hotspot from description of truck giving cellular strength.

Just like at home (except Apple usually), you can connect to your wifi even if the internet in general is out.

I also have an XLT 2025, got it on Jan 22, 2025. I was able to connect fine until this morning, which led me to this forum. I tried everything recommended here, except a cellular modem reset, and nothing worked. I contacted the dealership where I bought the car and they told me Ford is aware of the issue and will be providing a SW update. I don't know when. Make sure the car is setup to receive updates and connect it to your home WiFi.
tried again this morning after waiting 12 hours and it successfully connected. Would be good to hear from Ford if there was an outage that was addressed. I had left the vehicle in the driveway connected to my home Wi-Fi hoping for a software update, but none was received, at least according to the update history. We will see how long this will last.

And we’re back in business! Random thirty hour outage.m, but at least now it’s solved.

I’m having trouble remote starting via the FordPass app on my 25 Lariat. It started last night when I went to start the truck.

It usually takes less than 20 seconds to start but now it looks like it’s going to start for about 30 seconds then goes back to the normal screen. Oh and I just noticed my miles and fuel percentage aren’t updating and says the truck is parked when I clearly drove it. Oh boy.

I do have an Ecoboost. The last location update in the app was 19 hours ago. I guess that's when it stopped working.

There was a update for Ford pass last night, I don't know if it's a fix for the 25s. but, I do know it removes the need to have a pin on your smartwatch to use the Ford pass app.

I would expect it to be more related to lower priority data restriction during high usage times just like my TV streaming router.

RE:#2. Sit in truck, push start, may want to uncheck 30 minutes max idle time, leave mode in Park, set the EBrake, get out with fob, shut door, double lock with fob or door ribs or keypad, don't forget truck is running!
I tried to start then lock the door and leave with the key fob but It won't keep the door locked. As soon as I am out of range, it unlocks the door saying no key present. I haven't tried leaving the key inside and locking, then using the 2nd key to unlock.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Ford Pass app this morning and it started working again. We will see how long it lasts.

I tried to start then lock the door and leave with the key fob but It won't keep the door locked. As soon as I am out of range, it unlocks the door saying no key present. I haven't tried leaving the key inside and locking, then using the 2nd key to unlock.
Did you press the lock button TWICE WITH A 0.5-1.0 SECOND PAUSE? (Aka double lock). You have to lock it with fob outside of truck and door shut.
