Dave, Thanks for the update. I may take the same approach - though we traded our Wrangler, so it depends how long we want to go without towing a vehicle…
Hopefully we will have a choice soon I was hoping to have this done for a trip at the end of March but I don’t see it happening that soon unfortunately but my fingers are crossed

As I tow one of three vehicles behind the RV, I chose a tow dolly. Though I had to replace my 12 year old dolly after it was stolen. The thief had to work to do so as I had removed the tires and chained it to a steel post.
I could be wrong but I don’t think the AWD is compatible with dolly towing. I thought about that as a temporary solution, but I didn’t think it was an option…

My Maverick is front wheel drive, so it is towable. The other vehicles I might tow are either a front wheel drive or a manual transmission,.

I’m staying at a campground where I saw two Mavericks being flat towed the one pictured is a 2022 Front Wheel Drive Maverick that they’ve been flat towing for three years with no issues they tell me this is definitely the best “Toad” they ever towed four wheels down. (Equipment shown is all BlueOx installed on the 2022 FWD Maverick)

unfortunately my new baseplate and NightHawk Towbar from RoadMaster didn't arrive prior to this trip but I did get a confirmation from UPS that it will be delivered on 3/31/2025 so for my next trip in May I hope to be dragging my 2025 Lariat AWD Hybrid behind my RV…

Yes the photo shows they install a BlueOx baseplate on their 2022 FWD Maverick

Dave, that looks like the newer Blue Ox BX2913, which I thought was not developed until late-2024? The prior (hated) BX2690 was the wide-stance version available 3 years ago.

Maybe? HRG

Last I heard, Demco was still waiting for a volunteer. If Blue Ox reverts back to its 2-piece baseplate (that had so many failures), it will likely be the first to market. If Blue Ox does come out first with a 2-piece baseplate and you can't wait for someone to get a good design, be sure to get a towbar with an external crossbar to eliminate the sideways stress that caused the previous Blue Ox failures.
I'd be prepared for a substantial wait time for a good, well-tested 2025 Lariat baseplate. It took until September of 2023 for Demco to finally get a baseplate out for 2022-2023s that didn't fail or require destruction of the lower active-shutter system..
We were the model for the 2025 Maverick Hybrid Demco base plate. It should be online with a part number in about a week with production ramped up in about three weeks
I purchased and just took delivery of my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid and for those who are confused with all the miss information this vehicle is definitely flat towable four wheels down in “neutral tow” mode. The issue is that with Ford’s redesign and the lowering of the adaptive cruise control radar in the front there are no base plates available from the major manufacturers (BlueOx, RoadMaster and Demco) I’ve talked to all three and they are struggling to get the new design engineeried and to the market which is very disappointing to the RV community. Anyone have any new information or update other than what I stated.
Demco will have the 2025 base plate online in a week or so to take advance orders. Production will ramp up in about 3 weeks.

I already purchased the baseplate a new nighthawk tow bar charging wire and wiring kit from RoadMaster it arrived while I’m out on the road so I will install this in a few weeks I was hoping to work with Demco but they couldn’t give me a delivery schedule when I started talking with them in January hopefully the RoadMaster meets my expectations

We just talked to them last week and drove from Houston to Demco to be model for the template. I hope your Roadmaster works well.

I just received my Roadmaster towbar and baseplate kit for 2025 Lariat with 4K towing and Adaptive Cruise Control. From the instructions I will have to trim some on the shutters. I expect to install it in the next two weeks and will take some pictures to post here

Glad to hear people are getting their roadmaster kits up and running, curious to hear your experiences. I have an appointment at the roadmaster factory in Vancouver WA on 5/19th for a complete install, base plate, nighthawk bar, invisibrake, and all the accessories. They're doing it for a significant saving from what my local shop quoted me.

For anyone who's gone with the invisibrake, where did you install the controller. My local shop wanted to install it tucked up under the passengers' toes, several previous posts mentioned under the back seat.

We have 2024 XLT Maverick hybrid with Blue Ox baseplate and tow bar. I'm hoping the 2025 Lariat hybrid is better placed. They chopped through the louvers to install.

It is quite wide. I was reading where someone had big problems because of the width. I like the location on the 2022 pictured above. That's where I'm hoping new baseplate can be mounted on 2025 Lariat hybrid.

One nice thing that Dan's Hitch in Indiana did was make certain that while we are towing, the truck is on charge. So we don't have to stop and run the engine during or after pulling all day.

Having a charge wire is a necessary item to keep the battery up. Turning the ICE on and running it for a few minutes at the start of day and every 6 hours is for the transmission protection, not charging the battery.
