Yes, we can't wait for it to come out. We ordered our 2025 Lariat last Sept and received it mid-January 2025. We purchased it for our tow behind. We are anxious to get our Maverick hooked up to flat tow.
Same here Elizabeth hopefully they complete the baseplates process soon. We tow a 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ now which is easy but this little truck will be amazing and add the comfort we have been looking for.

I applied to be the test dummy today and will start a new post if selected...
Thanks for stepping up as a test case, hope it all goes well. I’m just south of you in Olympia area and am very interested in your experience with this. I’ve got a Lariat with a build date the week of April 7th, bought do to its flat tow capability.

Awesome. I just got mine and with only a few days on it I am quite satisfied. We travel the off season and our next trip is in April. I am sure the base plates will be ready by then. I have a really good installer that did my buddy's Maverick in 23. He is in Tacoma. He is the one that suggest that I put my truck up for testing. Wish I was a few days sooner and I might have gotten it all for free. Oh well.

Looks like Blue Ox has the following baseplate on their website that is not yet in stock at E-trailer.
BX2914
2025 Ford Maverick HEV
(Includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Shutters, & Hybrid)
It doesn’t say if it’s for the Lariat specifically. Does anyone know if this description would include the 25 Lariat?
Thanks,
Harry

The photo on the Blue Ox website is a Lariat. Don't know if it's equipped with the 4K tow package which has a transmission oil cooler. Requires the permanent removal of the top half of the shutter vanes.

Photo from BlueOx Website today - The baseplate currently shown “Out of Stock” this photo shows a 2025 Maverick and looks to be a more narrow solution - I‘m definitely waiting on some comments from someone who completes the installation

I picked up my '25 XLT. It doesn't have AWD, ACC, or the 4K tow package. Anyone know if any of the earlier baseplates would still work. If they won't work, why?

I posted Glenda Apple's Roadmaster E-mail address on one of the other flat tow threads... write her direct and ask her. Check your direct message I sent

Thanks for this. Do you know if there is any concern with removing the shutter vanes or is it primarily cosmetic?

My understanding is that the louvers are controlled by the engine's cooling system, they open when the engine is hot, and close when the engine has cooled off enough. I would think that you would want the louvers in very cold weather cruising at highway speeds. That's not much of a concern in the high desert where I live.

I think the main purpose of the shutters is to slightly improve the aerodynamics when the extra airflow is not needed for cooling. Having some of them always open might have a small effect on mpg under certain conditions and perhaps a small effect of how quickly things warm up in very cold weather.
I just picked up a 25 Lariat hybrid AWD yesterday, replacing another car, specifically because it will support flat towing behind our RV, so I’m watching the status of the tow-bar mounts closely

I got a reply back from a BlueOx distributor he told me they should have that solution back in stock on 4/01/2025 - I am waiting on RoadMaster and Demco to see what their solution looks like and see who offers the less destructive baseplate installation till then I’ll continue to tow my 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ.

Dave, Thanks for the update. I may take the same approach - though we traded our Wrangler, so it depends how long we want to go without towing a vehicle…

As I tow one of three vehicles behind the RV, I chose a tow dolly. Though I had to replace my 12 year old dolly after it was stolen. The thief had to work to do so as I had removed the tires and chained it to a steel post.
