Hi everyone,
I have had my Maverick since early September. I see on the MyFord App that it says I don't need an oil change until about 7000 miles. Im already at just barely over 5000 miles and it says 56% oil.. So should I go all the way to 7000 or below 30% or what? Its XLT hybrid. I love my truck... Just want to take good care of it...

It's taking into account your actual engine usage in miles and other factors.
And likely idle time and overall engine load incase towing or carrying weight or up hills.

For non-extreme driving - it appears to be aiming for about 5000 miles on the ICE engine.
Which going thru winter with extra idling probably shortened the time - mine did.
I was going to be 1 yr and 10K total miles abouts, has dropped just a bit in time and miles now with extreme cold and warmups behind me. Hopefully.

Go by the OLM on the hybrid.

Now with a thread - you can scan thru the 5 similar threads below, and find several oil analysis reports done at the OLM suggested oil change point - and how great they look.
Just confirm if posters are hybrid or Ecoboost - some don't pay attention.
That should be able to assure you results vs age-old-experience are 2 different things on at least the hybrid.

I‘ve had my 2025 for a month now and have a little over 500 miles on it - I plan to do a oil change at 2000 miles just to switch out the ”break-in period oil” I’m planning to use Mobil One Hybrid Grade Oil and Filter I haven’t seen anywhere that it’s a requirement just what I’ve always done and it’s served me well…

I have a 2024 hybrid Lariat, I dumped my oil at 5,800 installed mobil 1 and Mobil 1 filter, I’ve been a mechanic all my life and oil is the heart of your motor, that first oil change is most important because I feel there are many contaminants left behind from manufacturing, a cheap preventative action, good luck God Speed

Ohh just an FYI, I bought the hybrid Mobil 1 and filter in BJ’s and brought to ford dealer and they charged me $24 bucks👍🏻👍🏻

Wow, excellent for you. My dealership doesn’t want me to bring a filter or oil for what I need or want done. Doesn’t seem right does it? “This is what we have and all we use”. P.S., semi synthetic!

If you have a Walmart with an automotive department you can walk in buy the Mobil 1 and a filter of your choice I like Mobil 1 also (filter) and just walk over to the auto service area and I believe they charge between $25-30 I’ve done that when I had my f-150
Good luck 👍

Go by the factory recommendation.

What's the over/under on fifty posts in this in the next 24 hours?
ya its gona go either way. lol i'm curious if i should just do every six months, since i only drive about 4000 miles a year, less on this maverick since i deceided to keep my other beater. so maybe i'll do 2000 miles a year per vehicle
