The deep sleep mode and no interior lights on cab entry, no longer function as they have for the past two years.

I took my 2023 Hybrid in to the dealer for two recalls and when I got it back, I discovered that my interior lights come on when I open the door and the truck no longer goes into deep sleep. These were not features I wanted anyway, so I am happy.

Ok, I pushed them to replace the battery and adjust the BMS and they did.

Assuming you checked the interior light switch in the overhead console? It’s either off/door-activated/on and it’s possible the dealership changed it.

It’s a simple thing, but I once mentioned to a service advisor that I thought another vehicle’s interior bulbs were burned out, and he asked me if I checked the switch. Switch? What switch? 😀 It was humbling.

Good job Op,
Outstanding !
Make the customer happy, that is Job One !
I’ve stopped monitoring my battery. Never had any low power bullshit.
My AGM seems to always charge to full.
My 2024 was the last of the 24’s
10,000 trouble free miles so far.
It sat once for two weeks. No problems whatsoever so ever.

switched my battery to a cheap AGM battery off amazon and never had the problem since. Meanwhile people out here getting recalls for their AC to fix it and bricking the truck.....crazy....ford just put a junky battery in everyone's truck.

Ummm, nope. Your AGM still only charges to around 70%, not 100%. Check it with a meter if you don't believe the facts. The AGM battery is just going to take a bit longer to sulfate than the EFL one. You still have the defective BMS software that causes the problem.

Did not know dealers could (or had authorization to) adjust the BMS.?

my late 24 has had no issues either (though did get the low battery twice after working on the car and having the doors open much of the time). Left it last winter in Jackman Maine for a week to come back with it buried. No issues, even started it with the remote. lol

Give it a month, maybe two or three, the deep sleep and no lights will be back. ;)

My 24 Lariat was problem free till a guy at Church told me about his problems and asked if mine did the same. Now when I go to work at the dealership; they are going to make me a sign that says "David's Maverick Parking" in the shop. A mechanic here monitors it and when it gets to 49% he charges it.

No doubt about that.
Oh there is plenty of doubt about that.

I had issues 6 months in.
Then I pulled out the telematics fuse.
I'm now at 38 months and nearly 50,000 miles on the original battery with zero issues. (Somebody give me some wood to knock on.)

So you "solved" your deep sleep problem by disabling the use of the Fordpass app? Sorry, but that is a hard NO for us. We paid for the ability to remote lock and unlock our vehicle and the FordPass app is the ONLY way to remote start our Maverick. The dealership told us that Ford eliminated the key fob start buttons on that run of Maverick Lariats as they said that was replaced by using the FordPass app.

The app is dumb.
Had very little utility.
You should not remote start anyway.
It wastes gas. It pollutes. And it is illegal in some states / municipalities.

But ignore that part. That wasn't the point.

The point is the battery and charging system generally works fine. You said or agreed it doesn't.

I pointed out parasitic draw is responsible in a lot of cases. Which is way different than "not charging".
