We need to replace tires on our 24 Maverick Tremor edition. Generally have been happy with the Wildpeak AT 3’s that came on it but since we currently don’t go off-road but do deal with snow, ice, rain etc wondering experiences other 24 owners had with other tires.

Considering Michelin Cross Climate 2’s

Also wondering where best to buy them?

Check with Costco. Once I factored in the warranty, Costco beat the others. Plus I'd rather wander around Costco killing time than a tire shop.

Michelin go on sale at Costco roughly every other month.

That doesn’t speak well for those tires which are highly regarded. How many miles?

I'm getting ready to replace mine too. I always go with Michelin. Have good experience in the past and I like the way they are built. Usually more quiet on the road than others. Costco usually the best prices when on sale.

I‘ve never heard of these, but, I’m not a tire guy. They look pretty aggressive. I wonder how they would affect mpg on a hybrid.

They are a great tire. They are designed in Akron, Ohio. I only take like a 0.5 MPG hit or less it depends on the right foot but it's worth it to me. Not sure on your Hybrid.

Michelin Defender 2s on my 2025 Tremor. I don't go off road. When I bought the truck the all terrain tires were quite loud and were replaced in the first week of ownership. The Defender 2s are comparable in ratings on Tire Rack to the Cross Climates. I went with the Defender 2s because of the increased tread depth, longer warranty and lower price. They performed extremely well in snow this past winter.

My 2026 Factory Tremor Tires.
Are,
OUTSTANDING!

They are
Goodyear Territory R/T All Terrain
235/65R17
New tread depth 14/32

The Goodyear Wrangler Territory R/T All Terrain in size 235/65R17 weighs between 29 to 29.56 pounds. This makes it a notably lightweight option for an all-terrain tire, allowing drivers to upgrade their tread without significantly adding unsprung weight to their vehicle.
These AT’s are super smooth and quiet just like good all season tires.

The Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 in size 235/65R17 weighs between 29.7 and 30 pounds. They were far better than any Michelin I’ve ever had.
Betcha I’ve logged more miles on Michelins than most.
194,000 highway miles on ONE set of the old Sears models. I forget the model code.

Hands down win with the Pirelli’s. They are simply far more advanced in every category.

Discount Tire does not sell round tires. I am convinced they peddle blemished tires at this point. Id buy from Costco, walmart, Amazon, Ebay, Eloy the Elote street corn vendor.... anywhere but @Discounttire

Discount: The maverick is a truck, roadforce under 40 is fine.
Discount: No we didnt add hub centric rings because my tech didnt say we needed them.
Discount: Sorry, New tech he mounted your CC2s the wrong direction. (2 of them)
Discount: Oh yeah, we rebalanced them and 2 of them were off by at least .75oz (drove 10 miles/returned)
Discount: sorry we put in the wrong TPMS sensors ( they were supposed to be swapped over from old wheels)...
Discount is a joke. Used to be fantastic, but the new generation is lazy and the Managers cant do it all themselves.

I was on a regular route,
At night,
No traffic,
90% Empty Interstate,
2000 Toyota Tacoma,
Average cargo load 200-300 pounds.

194,000 miles later the wear bar made contact with the pavement. This was done in just over two years.
