Is it just me, or does the Maverick seem to have a good bit of road noise on some road surfaces? I have the Lariat trim with the Pirelli Scorpion tires. One some road surfaces, like newly paved ones, it is nice and quiet. But on others, it's so noisy it is almost painful. Just got back home from a 4 hour interstate drive, and my ears are ringing.

Any solutions to this? Dynamat? New tires? Earplugs?

Hey there. I can look into your Maverick’s noise concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

I'm thinking about using dynamat in the front foot area. Not real bad but it could be better.....

I have a Lariat with Michelin tires. It is quiet on all surfaces except for the annoying dash vibration,

Checked that tire pressures are at factory spec?
Yes. When I first got the truck, the tires were at 44 PSI from the factory. I dropped it down to what the door sticker said and it got a lot quieter. But there are still some road surfaces that are very noisy. Old interstate concrete at 80 MPH seems to be the worst.

I have noticed the same situation. Harsh ride and excessive road noise on certain surfaces. I also have the Pirelli tires, but noticed the same thing when I had my hybrid with Continental tires.

Mine is very quiet. Michelin tires. No engine noise, no road noise.
Same here, Michelins came on mine, I’ve been complemented on how quiet it is. Granted on some road surfaces there is a minor difference but not much, keep my tire pressure at 35 psi, not the 40+ from the factory

I have lariat hybrid with Michelin primacy tires AND sound absorbing windshield. But if front/rear tread is over 1/32 difference on some, not all, roads I start noticing road noise. Michelin recommends checking wear and rotating when uneven difference is found. Expected at 4-6k miles. I rotate tires at 6k oil changes wear is even.

Starting MSRP was less than $20k plus destination. All trim are built from the same frame. The noises are unbearable for some including me. If you used to drive a MB or any car with good sound dampening, road noises and wind noises from side mirrors from a Maverick would be very loud.

Me with KO2's:

I was thinking the same. I actuality think my truck is pretty quiet, but the 245/70/17 Firestone Destination AT2s definitely start singing a bit at highway speeds. That's about all the noise I notice and is to be expected.

Maverick gets a bit noisy over 80 mph. No doubt about that. It's a truck not a rocket ship. And a truck with very little or no sound proofing at that.

Keep it below 70 and I think it's a relatively quiet vehicle for what it is.
