Did it help with engine noise? Not huge deal but I would prefer to hear the engine the least possibleI did mine.... You only need 1 of each item... I bought too many bolts and nuts.
can you paint the grove or Ford logo the same color as your truck? This 2.5L hybrid engine cover part number (LX6Z-6A949-B) was mentioned in the thread about ecoboost engine cover, but a Ford Escape thread (URL listed below) gives much more detail. That Escape thread also shows the other three part numbers needed for the complete installation along with photos (see tiny green circles) of where the threaded studs go on the engine. I think most people would say this has no value other than under hood aesthetics, (I agree, but I still want one). Has anyone tried to install one of these yet?

Probably could with heat resistant paint meant for plastic.can you paint the grove or Ford logo the same color as your truck?
It's made out of some sort of foam rubber rather than plastic. So you may want to test somewhere innocuous like the underside first just in case it's more solvent sensitive.Probably could with heat resistant paint meant for plastic.
