Yes, my Dash got sticky in the hot weather. It collected lint no matter what i wiped it with, including microfiber or so-called lint-free cloths.
That pushed me to order a dash mat.
I wanted something that looked tailored and nice, as the dash itself without labels, names or monograms. I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I think $25 is pretty reasonable.

Happened to me years ago at the airport. In my old ranger. 5 am in the morning going on a flight across country. The card went down the instrumentation cluster to nowhere. I did not know what to do.
I went over to the gate and stood by the meter and asked somebody to back up and vend another ticket for me. They thought I was nuts, but they did it and then I carefully placed it safely on the dash. Still made my flight after panicking!

Mine does it in hot weather. I had a Toyota 4Runner that had a sticky dash. Ten years later, Toyota had a recall, and replaced my dash.

I have a Corvette and dropped a 7mm socket down the side of the seat. It went under the carpet while i was repairing the shifter cable. Really bothered me. No rattles. I read how to retrieve it. Everyone advised me not to disconnect the wires to the seat, or remove the seat. Just leave it there. The 7mm socket will be found one day.

The same thing happened to @MM Mav . She never got hers back either. I got on my back and looked from underneath, but no luck. She had her windshield replaced, and they couldn’t see it from that angle either.
I suspect it is between the firewall padding and the firewall. She near heard it rattle, and sounds like you have not either.

Maybe you can pull out the glovebox, I didn’t try this on hers, and fish around behind things. I have had the glovebox out of mine, there so areas you might be able to get to.

nah its a plastic card, i have to put it i my window for parking and i fumbled it and went down the perfect hole
i already turned on the defroster and didnt hear anything flopping around

Years from now your going to get into your truck, and find it on the floor near the gas pedal

I purchased a Teslong 5MP Auto-Focus USB Endoscope to find a small water drip inside my motorhome. It was a loose pipe fitting. Photos below were taken with the Teslong Endoscope with my smart phone.

With all the plastic in our interiors - if the heater can melt plastic we’re all screwed.

I'm sorry it didn't get that hot. If it made all that dash plastic a solid piece and it didn't rattle I'd still have one of my 24 Mavericks.
