Looking through forscan and you can program the fogs to be used as turning lights as well. Like when you hit the turn signal (left or right) they will light up to help you see into the left or right turn. Thats if you are using the factory wiring harness like Vtech87pr set up to use on his application.
Just a thought. Maybe Antonio can try this out with his set up?
I had a VW that did this. It actually even varied the brightness of the light with how much you turned, not sure if this is that feature or it goes by turn signal on/off or how it works. It was a neat idea, but I never felt it did much compared to just having the lights on all the time with headlights. But with these DD fogs it may be more noticeable given that they seem to project much more light than I think OEM lights do.

Nice. It will be interesting to see if you have to go back in and enable them in Forscan every time there's an update now since they're not original equipment.
I just went with adding a switch in the blank area. Needed a second switch for ambient lighting I will be adding anyway.

I think yours is a lot less trouble especially for those of us who aren't Forscan savy. Sure, I'd love to the switch integrated into the factory knob, but for me, it's a walk on the wild side.

This is an outstanding post! Very informative and helpful. Great job. The lights look fantastic! One thing I didn't know was if one has the hybrid Mav, you should get the hybrid F-150 switch? Did I understand you correctly?

I'm preparing to install my diode dynamics ss3 fogs this week. Is there a way to enable "Bambi mode" like I did on my '15 F150 where the fogs stay on with the high beams?

The fog light indicator is now working and he can use the push button on the F-150 headlight switch to turn them on or off. The fog lights automatically turn off when the high beams are turned on.

Installed the diode dynamics fog lights plus I used the F150 hybrid light switch since my truck is the hybrid. Installed wire from bcm to signal wire on diode fog lights . I used the complete wiring harness but I didn’t use the switch from diode dynamics. Programmed the bcm and ipc to show the fogs on the dash and when the brights are on the fog lights turn off. The plug I used for the bcm is DU2Z-14474-DA only needed one and the light switch is ML3Z-11654-Dc . I went off #6 on the bcm for left front fog lights .

I also have this project planned! I just got my f150 hybrid headlight switch in and I'm waiting for the DD kit to ship. I do have one (maybe silly) question....where is the green wire (DU2Z-14474-DA) connecting other than the BCM? That part is a little unclear from the image and from what I've been reading on here. Awesome workup on the rest though, thanks!

The green wire from the bcm connects to the switch wire on DD harness

I received mine and installed yesterday! I just need the 8" screwdriver to adjust.

Note: When removing the front facade, do not UNPLUG the harness until all of the bolts in both fenders have been removed.
I had removed the bolts on the passenger side, unplugged the harness, then went to the drivers side and turned on the truck to turn the wheels to get to those bolts inside the fender. When I completed everything and tested, I had a check engine light. Read the code and it gave the external ambient temperature sensor missing. I did make three little trips with no issues in the truck and could see the external temperature in the dash. Being impatient, I cleared the codes and still have no issues.
