Hard to balance difference in what powers the high current diodes ( for diodes ) and the lights that the truck was balanced (resistance, capacitance, and inductance) that is why they are so expensive. Takes fine care and high quality parts to pull it off reliably.

Finally had an opportunity to drive at night with the fog lights. WOW! These lights make an extreme amount of difference even in clear weather. The light in front of the truck is exponentially better, but the light to the sides is unbelievable. I could see more than 100 feet out to each side which will certainly help identify critters!

Great job @Diode Dynamics , this is well worth it!
We love to hear the positive feedback and truly appreciate your support!

For users concerned, our fog lamp upgrades are SAE-compliant for legal on-road use and a great addition to supplement your low beams with extreme width and a boost in output intensity.

Hopefully Ford makes an ST version and looks like your Maverick. It’s simply stunning to look at. Hopefully with 350+hp and dual exhaust, just dreaming!!

I'm flattered, thank you! For sure Ford won't go as low as I am IF they offer an ST, but it would be a great start toward the sport truck world since they've killed every other performance truck.

Certainly not going to do that with a brand new vehicle and the cheapest vehicle you can buy.
Seems to me that if it's the "cheapest vehicle you can buy" you would want to add some upgrades to it to make it not look so cheap.

Too bright for you as a driver? Or too bright for traffic coming at you? You know they're adjustable, right?

And properly designed fog lights don't increase light output to oncoming drivers, the cut off is FAR lower than the headlights.

Maybe you didn't read why I chose to have them at all. Having homes in Utah and north of Austin, TX I do a lot of hunting. Two lane country roads with lots of critters along side the roads, and these lights are wonderful for seeing them and avoiding them.

[EDIT:] For clarification I do a lot of night hunting with thermal optics. I drive at night through areas with a lot of coyotes, hogs, etc.

All the above applies to me, but south of Austin. Big dog warns the coyotes away, know to avoid hogs, smart to scare rattlesnakes away from a distance, and has a frenemy hawk. Making me think again about my choices, thanks. Understanding your views better.

I received my @Diode Dynamics fog lights last weekend but just barely had time to install them.

Install was a piece of cake and took me about 4 hours. The video instructions are exceptional.

HIGHLY recommend this upgrade for all Maverick owners. Light output is fantastic. It took a little creativity to get the light where I wanted it because I'm so low, but man does it light up my street!

Definitely phone a friend to help you hold the bumper. I thought, "I'm a bad ass, I can do it." The bumper promptly got away from me and this lip tore. Auto body grade exopy to the rescue.

My multi-tool worked GREAT for making straight cuts and tight corners.

Headlights and fogs lights on.

Headlights on, fog lights off. Fogs have a neat ambient marker light built in when they're switched off.

Fog lights "off" with ambient light.

Looks great! There's not much I can do on mine with FX4 package 🤷

I've got the same fog light kit from Diode Dynamics and was wondering where you mounted the switch. The installation video only to "put it where you want".
I was looking under the dash to find an easy place to mount which is also convenient to operate. It looks like there is a spot on the left side of the steering column area that is flat and has nothing behind it to worry about.
Just wondering if you found a better spot.

I made my own fog light solution using DD lights and the steering column was where I mounted. Maybe when I’m not lazy down the road I’ll swap over the headlight switch panel. Good enough for now though
