I have a 2024 Mav - Hybrid. I had an A.R.E. canopy installed last summer and noticed in the fall when the rainy season set in that it was leaking near the front corners. I determined that it was leaking through the fiberglass due to a manufacturing defect. The canopy dealer was great to work...
The other option to consider if needing to haul something in an open pickup is to rent a pickup from U-Haul for about $25 for the day. Worth it considering the time & effort to remove & replace the canopy. Something to consider.
Looks great. I think you'll be happy with it.
We have an A.R.E. cap on our '24 Mav as well as our '21 Ranger. Went all out with the interior LED light strips, drop down front window, 12V plug ins for our plug in coolers, and the pet screens for a little added security.
We did have an issue...
Spring for the mud flaps and the bed mat. Also, we got the rain deflectors for the windows from the dealer and were somewhat disappointed in them. They work fine, just that they attach with double sided tape and there is little clearance between the deflectors and the glass. I like the...
I periodically get this same message with my '21 Ranger XLT (40K Miles). I've had the battery checked a few times when getting my tires rotated and it's always come up fine. My Auto Stop/Start function also only seems to work sporadically for no apparent reason. I wonder if these things may be...
That may be true to some extent, depending on how much of a difference there is between the wear on the front tires vs the rear. This is from a Michelin website:
Tires should be serviced periodically following the rotation patterns provided in the vehicle's owner's manual.
You should rotate...
That's the whole purpose of having the two stage unlock, to reduce the chance of being carjacked when you open the doors. If only one door opens, the carjacker has fewer options for gaining access when you get in.
#8 - Shouldn't be an issue if you have a canopy and regularly carry a St. Bernard in the back. You're not gong to be relying on the interior rear view mirror. ☺
The video for installation is pretty good in describing the steps for installation. Be aware that it requires removal of the front bumper and grill to access the area where the lights are installed. When finished, you would never guess they were an aftermarket item.
I ordered a pair from Diode Dynamics which are made specifically for the Maverick. I had my regular mechanic install them. They look like original equipment and are BRIGHT! I’ll post a link to Diode Dynamics.
Actually that spot on the column has nothing behind it and you can actually reach up behind that piece of plastic molding without taking anything apart!!
Thanks for the photo!! That's the spot i was thinking would be easy, and convenient to operate.
I felt around the OEM light switch area and it seemed like it would be a lot of work to try to mount in that area without disassembling the dash.
Thanks again for the picture.
Anyone looking to upgrade a Maverick with fog lights should check out the Diode Dynamics website. They make a fog light kit specific to the Maverick which mount on the lower part of the bumper where it looks like they should be. Vehicle specific wiring harness and they even include a mount to be...
You are probably seeing the tow hooks which come on the 4X4 package.
I ordered a pair of aftermarket fog lights from Diode Dynamics which mount in the same location as the tow hooks shown in the image. Needless to say, you can't have both. At least not the Diode Dynamics kit. There are probably...
