Has anyone installed the DD Fog Lights and a Demco baseplate on a Hybrid for flat towing? I'm wondering if anything required for either install would conflict?

Looks awesome man. Love the amber lights with the Red paint. Will be doing it to mine at some point. What size tires are you running?

I installed my kit too.....I just wish there was a way to shut the fog lights off with the high beams on. In most states, mine included, it's actually illegal for your fog lights to be on with the high beams, otherwise a great kit. I did use a smaller 12 mm lighted switch, not the big one that DD sent in the kit.
I've lived in NJ, NC, and AZ, and have never personally heard of anyone ever being pulled over for having fog lights on at the same time as high beams, let alone being fined for it. With the amount of clowns I see driving down the interstate every morning on my way to work, blinding everyone within a mile with their $2000 off-road light bar, I don't worry too much about being caught with my fog lights on at the same time as high beams. Most of the cars I've owned, I either installed aftermarket fog lights, or modified the wiring to keep the fog lights on with the high beams. I also adjust my fog lights properly so they don't blind anyone, and switch off my high beams when I'm behind someone or am approaching another driver. I care more about being safe and considerate of other drivers, while also being able to effectively light up the dark roads I drive on every morning; I don't actually give a damn about what the law says. For what it's worth, I've never had a problem with state inspections either. Just switch your fog lights off so they don't come on automatically with your headlights and call them off-road lights if anyone asks.

I received my @Diode Dynamics fog lights last weekend but just barely had time to install them.

Install was a piece of cake and took me about 4 hours. The video instructions are exceptional.

HIGHLY recommend this upgrade for all Maverick owners. Light output is fantastic. It took a little creativity to get the light where I wanted it because I'm so low, but man does it light up my street!

Definitely phone a friend to help you hold the bumper. I thought, "I'm a bad ass, I can do it." The bumper promptly got away from me and this lip tore. Auto body grade exopy to the rescue.

My multi-tool worked GREAT for making straight cuts and tight corners.

Headlights and fogs lights on.

20240401_200424.jpg

Headlights on, fog lights off. Fogs have a neat ambient marker light built in when they're switched off.

I hope to have a discount code for you all in the next few days.

I'd like to see how people are setting it up inside for switching on/off.

Congrats! Looks great! Thanks for the nice writeup!

HIGHLY recommend this upgrade for all Maverick owners.
Those with front tow hooks (or those uncomfortable with dropping and cutting bumper) are probably the exceptions. I am waiting a little bit to see if any aftermarket front recovery kits come out but if nothing comes out by July I’m so joining the DD fogs club.

You have to completely dismantle the front end to install fog lights
No thanks ain’t gonna do that to my baby
It's what's been holding me back, too. I'd rather buy the kit and pay someone to install them that has more experience...but owning this truck has inspired me to mod it and my confidence level is pretty high...so once I save up a bit, I think I'll take the plunge.

Thanks for posting your pics, now I can't wait to install my DD driving lights on my CGM Mav when it stops raining. Really makes the front end pop with the clean looking install kit from DD.

Hopefully I can figure out how to make the cornering function work.

So far I have figured out that You will have to wire each light up to the bcm for individual fogs to light when using turn signal. Bcm has left and right fog +
good luck, I haven’t ordered my kit yet but plan to do the fog/turn mod.

I'm not usually a fan of lowered trucks but I have to say, this looks fantastic! Great color choice by the way! The truck looks so much cleaner with everything body colored. The foglights are a nice touch. I wonder if Ford will eventually add them from the factory. Maybe for the 25 refresh or second generation at the end of the decade. Only time will tell but no biggie. I also like your two-tone 90s Yukon in the background (y)
Im sure Ford will add them sooner or later, probably as a Lariat only option. My Suburban is my hauler of broken hot rods, new projects and boats. I have a '26 Sleekcraft that will be painted to match the Suburban soon.

Thank you. I was a little concerned about the yellow/HPR contrast but that worry is gone now. Tires are BF Good rich 235/55R19's

Agreed on all accounts! 🤜🏻

I appreciate it!

The kit comes with a roughly 5/8" on/off switch with an LED. I mounted mine directly below my headlight switch.

Congrats! Looks great! Thanks for the nice writeup!

Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to ditch the tow hooks in favor of these fog lights. There's always jjc-llc.com if you want to keep the top hooks.

If you're near SW Utah I'd be more than happy to help you. It's really pretty easy.

Nice job OP, your Mav looks great!

Have you considered yellow tint film for your front turn signals? I think it would look sharp with your current setup.

The yellow fogs were a pretty big stretch for me.

Enjoy your install and post pics here for the rest of us!

Funny that your original post has been edited.

Yep, a piece of cake. Sorry I don't detail installing tailgate stickers, wind deflectors, a center console organizer or things that don't require tools or abilities that you may consider "mods."

Four hours of not watching TV. Four hours of not bitching about products on the internet. Four hours of doing something productive. Hard to fathom, I know.

What makes you think i care what anyone thonks about me going down the road? I build my teucks, cars, hot rods and boats to suit ME, not you or anyone else.

So light bulb thing - ummm, lets call it functionality and safety. Theres rarely fog where I live but there I hunt predators year round. These lights illuminate the sides of the road where predators like to hang out at night. The yellow light helps me spot and identify them better than white light does.

Enjoy your stickers, pal. I'll enjoy customizing my vehicles as i please. God bless America and capitalism.

I used @Vtec87pr1 (Antonio’s) write up. He’s been able to make the factory F150 switch work with the Diode Dynamic fog light harness. If you have a hybrid there is a switch for you as well.

I wish I had remembered his work before I cut my dash. Oh well, I can always buy a switch and replace the panel.

This guy here
I don’t see what light bulbs were replaced…. I mean he added fog lights where there were none
I am still surprised how many people feel the need to post in other peoples threads about how they don’t understand why people make changes to their vehicles
It seems most (obviously not all) also seem to be driving XL Hybrids….. or maybe hybrids in general
I don’t see a lot of ecoboost owners trying to rain on peoples parades
