No. Both were same color, options so I couldn't tell them apart in the driveway.Do you have any regrets or do you miss the ECO?
I'd gotten to like the way the Escape's hybrid eCVT operates.

I’m debating the switch to hybrid but I don’t want to pay the $1,500 again. They did that to me when I got the EB.No. Both were same color, options so I couldn't tell them apart in the driveway.

I ordered a cover before my truck got delivered couldn't stand to see that mess looked so unfinished, theirs a bunch of posts about this subject with part numbers etc. took me 10 min to install. Do a search, was reading somewhere its hard to get. I think I ordered one from a escape 2.0 or a bronco sport 2.0.Questioning under the hood observation.
My new Maverick might be missing an over the top engine cover. Not sure if any Maverick comes with them. What I see is the very top of the engine, and what appears as brass nut inserts (see picture, highlights) in the plastic engine cover on the head, where a possible cover could be mounted, bolted down to these brass inserts.
So do any of you have a deco cover over the engine? I read elsewhere of a owner finding a cover on EBay.
Of course I kinda like to see the top of the “engine”, not a cover per se.
Comment appreciated.

My Mav is coming with a fancy painted metal engine cover called " The Hood". Underneath that it is going commando, it's all the rage now. They just stopped making and providing the cover. It would cost a lot more to change the design and production of the valve cover than it would to just stop making and providing the engine cover. Most vehicles with the 2.0 ecoboost used to come with the same cover from the factory.
Great contribution Riley. Doesn’t help anyone but at least you got to make someone feel small. You weren’t aware of this? How much research did you do before buying a maverick?![]()
You’re right; it was completely unnecessary and served no beneficial purpose.Great contribution Riley. Doesn’t help anyone but at least you got to make someone feel small.
You never saw a V8 from the late 70’s early 80’s. Made a engine today look like a bare block.I ordered a cover before my truck got delivered couldn't stand to see that mess looked so unfinished, theirs a bunch of posts about this subject with part numbers etc. took me 10 min to install. Also less crap to break and go wrong. One reason I will never get rid of my carbed hotrods. You never saw a V8 from the late 70’s early 80’s. Made a engine today look like a bare block.
The coyotes with stock intakes always need a cover. Some engines don’t need a cover.

The Lincoln one is nice and there are several different badges that can be glued to it.I'd like one, but after some searching I chalked it up as a loss. I definitely don't want one with another logo. After seeing it be a rare availability I ended up removing it from my list of add ons. Now I just blow compressed air around the area when I do my oil changes.
