If anyone is looking to purchase an engine cover for a 2022 - 2024 Maverick Lariat 2.0 L Eco Boost, be sure to consider the following Ford Part Numbers (P/N):

- Engine Cover P/N K2GZ-6A949-B 1X
- Stud-Ball P/N AA5Z-6N958-A
- Stud P/N -W714647-S450B

When ordering an Engine Cover the two required fasteners are not included. You have to order them separately. I learned that the hard way.

Do you have a picture of it installed?
There are (2) versions of this cover. The part # that ends in "A" is the Ford version (shown), the part # that ends in "B" is the Lincoln version.

Sorry about the shadow. HRG

I posted "Engine Cover + Part #" on the browser's search bar and several sales options came up which were lower in cost than what any Ford Dealer would charge. I picked mine up for $ 75.00. Also, when searching using the Maverick 2022 - 2024 designation, chances are you will not find one. Best bet is to search for a 2020 Escape. They use the exact same engine.

The K2GZ-6A949-A is obsolete from Ford and no longer available,

there are threads about using the Lincoln version and modifying it to remove the Lincoln logo.

Knowing that I wanted one I ordered a cover when I ordered my Maverick. I tried using matching touch up paint of the truck on the ecoboost part but it is flaking off. When it warms up, I am going to re-touch up the ecoboost lettering.

Well, that’s the P/N I posted and I ended up with an Engine Cover with the Lincoln emblem. Worked for me. I just simply did not care for all the exposed electrical wires.

Never understood an engine cover. Seems like it would retain heat. To much heat is not good for engines, batteries, and people.
Not to mention more useless plastic entering the landfill someday.

Here is the "B" engine cover (Lincoln) that's still available. As others have done, I removed the Lincoln emblem and replaced it with with this one from Coyote Badge Shop. Also noticeable is the Steeda strut tower brace on my '23 XLT.

Why not buy one ??
I had one on my 22. Now on my 24. Not only makes it look better, also less noise in cabin.
