Tim has been an integral part of the ordering process since the beginning. I respect the man for being so dedicated to the community despite that, like you said, there's no benefit to him since many folks are not his clients. His actions can definitely influence folks to buy from him in the future though--- and honestly, he deserves that kind of turnaround.

Here's how I read this.

Assume for the sake of the argument that they are going to build 3000 Mavericks in January.

Of those, 16% can be Lariat Lux and 18% can be XLT Lux (both with SIBL), and another 3% can be trucks that just added the SIBL option. That means up to 37% of the 3000 can have SIBL (assuming they can fill the Lariat Lux and XLT Lux spots). That's 1,110 trucks with SIBL.

If they split that 60%-40% EcoBoost-Hybid then that's 666 EcoBoosts with SIBL and 444 hybrids with SIBL. That's a pretty good number of trucks with SIBL.

But... outside of the Lux packages, there are only 90 stand-alone SIBLs to go around. That would be 54 EcoBoost and 36 Hybrid. So it doesn't look so good for people who ordered stand-alone.

It probably won't work out that neatly as there may be more Lux packages or stand-alone orders in one group or the other, but that's approximately what it means.

My XL Hybrid was ordered with SIBL, email confirmed build date of 02/07 (ordered 07/23) with VIN confirms SIBL is to be included.

Tonneau Cover Soft Folding - 5%
Tonneau Cover Hard Trifold - 3%
Tonneau Cover Soft Trifold - 3%
Bed Mat - 3%
Spray-in Bedliner - 3%
Bed Extender - 3%
Protective Fender Film - 3%
XLT Luxury Package with SIBL- 18%
Lariat Luxury Package - 16%
Hybrid - 40%

One interesting observation are those components that could be done after production such as the covers, mat, spray-in and extender. If I were Ford management knowing those constraints have been in place for quite some time, I would consider giving the option to source them locally.

This is why Ford cut off Hybrid orders at Nov. 15th so they would be able to fulfill all Hybrid orders by summer of 2022 and people wouldn't be waiting into the next year. Let's hope all goes as planned for those still waiting.

That’s it, I’m removing the spray in from my order even though my dealer and Ford keep telling me they see nothing in my order that is holding it up…. It sucks as aftermarket spray in around my area will be a few hundred more than having the factory do it… I guess when Ford says you can custom build your order it means as long as you don’t add any options…

But not according to the numbers Tim has presented in his live webcast.

It's just that they were able to start building the EB much earlier than the Hybrids. So they have a big head start.

Did they cut off orders because they were full or did they cut off orders because the oktb was so late in the game that they knew they wouldn't be able to get them built before the new model year?

I removed the tri-fold bed cover from my order a month ago . It hasn't helped yet. If my order gets pushed back into next summer. I might cancel my order and try my luck with a 2023.

Will Ford ever be able to ramp up and get past that 40% number for hybrids?

People, Just my opinion but this is how I relate these issues:

We have to keep in mind that the world shut down due to the virus last year, people are still sick and a % not at work each week. The just in time inventory supply chain is having difficulty getting caught up. The chip shortage for all computer equipment can hit any industry including the manufacturers of tonneau covers. The increase in EV demand is a supply nightmare for car companies and solar companies ordering more and more batteries. It's tremendously complicated and we forget all this and blame Ford -- but it's not business as usual and won't be for a while yet.

So long as Ford is committed to filling all MY22 Hybrid orders by no later than December of next year - I'll sit tight and wait as my order contains a few 3% constraints and it'll give me the summer to wheel the Bronco around.
