Since I work at Ford, I'll use the recommended 0w-20 Motorcraft full synthetic oil. If I didn't, I'd use ANY brand of full synthetic 0w-20 except Quaker State. Quaker State is probably fine too. But my Dad didn't like Quaker State based on the1960s and 1970s formula that would sludge up. So I followed suit. 😅

Valvoline Restore & Protect 0W-20 is hands down the best value and performing motor oil out there right now IMO.

It basically stopped the oil burning from stuck rings in my wife's 140k mile Prius which had run Mobile 1 from day one. And BITOG is full of fantastic wear numbers.

For hybrids it's the best out there IMO.

That being said, pretty much anything you throw into the 2.5l Duratec will be great. It's a fantastic motor.

Oil in the engine is overrated, just use Windex.

You have to go out of your way to find a bad motor oil these days. Valvoline is probably the best brand though, particularly the restore and protect product for high mileage engines, but not many Maverick owners are in that range. Pennzoil Platinum is also consider slightly better than the others.

I use SuperTech with a Premium Guard XL filter. Used oil reports on this forum convinced me to go from my usual 5,000 interval to 7,500 at least. The filter matters just as much as the oil for extended drain intervals.
motocraft FL-400S or equivalent is a higher capacity filter with same micron filtration and bypass pressure specs.

For the curious, this is my 2012 2.0L Duratec Ti-VCT run on mostly Quaker State Full Synthetic 5w-20 (with some Motorcraft and Safety Kleen recycled blend at times) at 150,000 miles with 8,000-mile oil change intervals.

I think I'm fine with Quaker State. ;) It's not the sludge factory it was 50 years ago.

I’ve read many articles and suggestions on Maverick preferred oil. I have a 2024 Hybrid and would like to know what is the suggested oil from this group. Thanking y’all in advance.
I've long been a believer in Mobil 1, and will be using it once my first maintenance is due.

green top(nd) Quaker state the old timers liked it for some reason( maybe henry ford liked it in the old flatheads) guaranteed sludge in no time, new Quaker state should be fine, the only use for a ND oil(probably because of foaming) would be some old compressors.
