I'm being dramatic, but I went and bought a 24 maverick XL in November, still waiting to take possession. Anybody else in the same boat?

I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat and Ford still does not have an estimate on when a fix will be available...
they gave me about 3 thousand more than i was expecting for the trade inI can't understand the concept of buying something (and for some tha'ts posted on this issue, even making the truck payments), without possession of the truck. What am I missing here?
yes! i have been wondering about that. just sitting out exposed, what if it gets damaged? would the dealership fix free of charge? just a very weird gray area.I put a deposit down the day after Thanksgiving. The dealer I'm using has been an excellent to work with but I'm still getting lscrewed by Ford. At least my boss is letting me borrow my company truck for personal use because I don't have anything else to drive other than my 70 Duster until Ford gets this figured out. Meanwhile my first new vehicle is sitting there in the elements without any protection on the paint or miles being put on the tires or anything else
Meanwhile, your truck is sitting outdoors in a lot, likely depreciating every day; as the paint, trim and headlight lenses fade, and haze over in the sun. And the battery ages.they gave me about 3 thousand more than i was expecting for the trade in
Is the vehicle registered and insured in your name? If not it's still on the dealership.yes! i have been wondering about that. just sitting out exposed, what if it gets damaged? would the dealership fix free of charge? just a very weird gray area.
yep, it is not idealMeanwhile, your truck is sitting outdoors in a lot, likely depreciating every day; as the paint, trim and headlight lenses fade, and haze over in the sun. And the battery ages.
Since the camera recall is taking so long, it's very likely a hardware problem. And Ford doesn't have sufficient replacement parts stocked yet to fix the problem.

d7602002,That just has to suck to be waiting for a truck and not being able to get it because of the recall. Or for the dealers that can't sell the trucks because of the recall. My biggest concern is the camera works fine I've not had a problem yet, it's only been 6 months but still, and I'm afraid that if it goes in for the recall that will actually mess something up.
Most of the time. I usually look to the right look to the left, I use a rear view mirror. Then I kind of glance at the camera. The main thing I use the camera for is when I'm backing into the driveway I use the camera to see the distance to the garage so I can line it up perfectly. But I will be honest I don't use the camera that often. When backing up in your Maverick. How much do you use your mirrors and turn your head?
