I have already posted, in other "Rear Camera" threads. (I think there are about a 1,000 of them on this site.. 🤪 ).
That I would be the last one.. :ROFLMAO:
Well.. This past weekend I took a trip to Madison. And the camera and screen.. Froze!! o_O
But, I remembered a post on how to "Reset" the darn thing, And it WORKED!!
So, I'm GOOD.. :ROFLMAO:

Mine has frozen so many times
My '23 Infotainment system froze once, the first day I had it.
Never noticed the camera freezing. But I seldom use it except for a quick glance occasionally when parallel parking between two vehicles.

It will probably get fixed if/when they ever get the BMS issues ironed out and I take it in for that.

It is more of a studer or delay with mine. It's as if the camera is not always in real time. Or has a less than second lag when backing up. I just have adjusted to it all the time. Just have to not rely on it if you are reversing fast. It's more of annoyance that anything. I'm a pretty cautious driver but I can see how if you weren't you could back into something if you were use to something without the studer or delay

I know the guy from longmcarthurford mentioned it might be a fix for camera, but he also said he has not seen them yet. He did mention BMS update. Is it not more likely to be the battery drain fix Ford announced would be coming in the quarter? I just don’t see how a BMS update would fix a camera freeze on the head unit?

yeah, just saw him comment on a reddit post that it is for the battery and not camera :(

I feel bad for those waiting for delivery or suffering through the reverse camera issue, but I look forward to the BMS fix if it will finally properly charge my battery and let me use the Ford App again after over 6 months. Pretty sure they will tell me the battery is fine so I will probably get an AGM and install it myself.

Tim mentioned a software fix for the BCM (Body Control Module). He did not mention anything about the BMS.

How about a link to the fix so I don't have to wade through 999 more looking for it.

Ahh yes, that was my error, but seems it is still the battery drain fix the Ford alluded to late last year. I don’t care what they update as long as it fixes it. 😄

On reddit he just confirmed it's for the battery specifically.

edit: he did originally believe it was for the backup camera, but then after talking to Ford today they verified it was for the battery

If Ford can't find a legit fix for this, they should still be allowed to sell the remaining '24s if they include one of these in every glovebox -

Had to respond. When I was a kid bought those xray glasses from the back of a comic book. They were not very good. Wish I still had that comic book though.

Surely you have read about the infotainment 'reset' by now. Press down the Power Button (Vol knob) and Track Forward (|>>) button at the same time until it reboots. I've had to do this at least 3 times a month for the last two years.
Wow that's alot. But this is just a reset correct? Not the camera fix.

I am also going to wait a bit to be sure it's working as expected, then have it done. And maybe they can replace my battery while they're at it. 😬
Will they replace the battery or just keep saying wait until the software update that will fix the deep sleep?
