I love mine, 2023 Lariat hybrid, 1200 miles, no issues. Not noisy on dirt roads, handles great, no complaints. Honestly, I cannot think of anything I don’t like about it

I live in SC so mileage is mid 40s in warm months and 40 in cold months.I love mine, 2023 Lariat hybrid, 1200 miles, no issues. Not noisy on dirt roads, handles great, no complaints. Honestly, I cannot think of anything I don’t like about it![]()
Babysitting the throttle even downhill is an adjustment. It helps in stop-and-go though. The truck drives "heavy" and low compared to my Ranger. I actually like the feel.
I'm able to stop smooth now, high in pedal travel where the feel is loose. It stops for you if you let it, don't push down extra like we've done for decades. The brakes are more sensitive than I am used to.
I definitely agree with this statement as the vast majority of problems are the hybrid owners… the Toyota Prius hybrid system has been vetted for something like 20 years years and works nearly flawlessly…F.O.R.D don't know squat about Hybird technology - you want a hybird get a toyota - stick with the ecoboost
Picked up my 2023 XL Hybrid in this past May. Total base, model. Only option is the trailer hitch receiver. $22,800 just under $25k out the door with taxes and title. I have 22,000 on the odometer so far and zero issues. Before the weather got cold I was regularly getting 48-50 mpg. With the cold weather I am getting 40-42. Absolutely love it. Bought it as a work vehicle and it has become my daily driver. Just drove back from a ski trip 3 1/2 hours with 2 of my sons in the back seat who are both 6’2”. They were comfortable. Squeezing a 3rd adult back there would not have been fun for a long drive. I could see 3 children back there being being fine however. The bed is big enough for a lot of things and when needed for work I rent a U-Haul trailer for $25 a day. It pulls the trailer and load just fine. I had planned to buy a 2024 but the price increase kept me away. I will wait and pay the extra money if they come out with an AWD Hybrid. AWD Hybrid is the one thing in my opinion that would make it the perfect vehicle. Fit and finish is good. Mechanically it has been solid so far. It rides and handles well. Does it compare to my E90? No absolutley not. But in that price range $20-$30 k I would say it’s got to be top of the class. Will definatley buy again if the come out with an AWD hybrid. My hope is to drive this one over 200k. Time will tell.Hello,
Been lurking this forum since finding out and ordering a Maverick hybrid.
Would like to ease nerves and see who has a hybrid that has little to no problems. I placed an order recently and hesitant on hybrid.
But at the same time it fits all the marks in what I need in a vehicle
-gas efficient( I drive over 40miles a day)
-cargo space(bed to hold oversized items)
-passenger seats(family)
-durable?(cv axles big issue?)
Primarily used as a work vehicle, carrying tools as well, current vehicle gets crammed very fast. Anyways Thanks. And hope to join the club soon.
