  1. What is Normal Wear on New Tires from Dealership?

I do not believe the Conti’s Ford puts on the Mav are the same as the ones you can buy from a tire store. I think they are a less expensive version.(I think there was a thread here where someone measured the original vs the ones bought retail and the retail ones had a much deeper tread). I got...
  2. Keyed RRM :(

$3000 seems very high. I’m basing that on I had a dent in my rear drivers side panel. Just behind the gas fill door. The whole panel had to be replaced. New ford panel paint and blend the whole side. I grew up around body shops so I was able to convince the insurance adjuster to write for a...
  3. OEM tires didn't last

2023 Hybrid XL with Conti’s Just replaced the originals at 48,000. They still had some life in them(maybe another 5,000). Obviously I do a lot of driving so it’s important to keep good sneakers on it. I replaced them with the exact same conti’s. I’ve always run conti’s on my cars and never had...
  4. 2025 Lariat Hybrid Gas Mileage report.

I think people have to realize first of all all of the guages on your dash are not accurate. Check your speedometer. That’s probably off by a few miles an hour.(every single BMW I have owned read 5 mph more than actual measured speed at speeds over 50). But they are all accurate enough...
  5. Should I investigate other extended warranties for my incoming 2025 Maverick?

I believe the Ford warranty covers Hybrid parts for 100,000 miles/8 years. My dealership(McGovern Ford Framingham MA) added a 180,000/10 years on the hybrid parts for no charge(non transferable) I would not worry about the hybrid part of your vehicle. Ford is pretty confident about it if they...
  6. Is the Maverick’s Telematics Data Reported to Law Enforcement?

Think this through for a second. How accurate would the data be? A good lawyer would tear that apart. When was the measuring device creating the data last calibrated? The police would have no control over that calibration to certify its accuracy. So there is no way they are using that data...
  7. How long should you keep your Maverick?

I think a lot has to do with what you buy. I bought a 2007 BMW 328xi with 60,000 miles on it for $15k. In 2011 Drove it to $268,000 and sold it for $2000 in 2021 just basic maintaince and wear and tear. Brakes, alternator battery shocks tires. Total was about $5000. It cost me about $170 a...
  8. FYI for adaptive cruise on hybrid

It’s not normal for a Hybrid. It is normal for the Maverick. Most hybrids and EV’s light the brake lights when regen and decelerating at a certain level. Not sure why Ford does not do this. I do not think it’s an expensive issue to solve. So it’s not a cost cutting measure. I don’t believe...
  9. FYI for adaptive cruise on hybrid

It’s not normal. It’s only normal for the maverick. Almost every other Hybrid or EV that I know of lights the brake lights when regen at a certain deceleration point. This is a terrible flaw with the Mav unfortunately.
  10. Hit by the Maverick Curse!

In general it’s probably safe to drive if it’s just a solid check engine light. Unless there is something else going on like running rough, strange noises, loss of power, etc. but if it is performing as usual it is safe to continue driving. I would not drive long distances or a lot obviously...
  11. Anyone else getting grief over the Maverick?

Why post anything on Facebook at all? It’s The Fellowship of the Miserable. If they aren’t posting “look at me!” “Look at my wonderful life” they are bashing yours because theirs isn’t as wonderful as they want you to believe.
  12. Bedrug XLT = EASY ON THE KNEES

I have the full bed rug which covers the sides also. Love it. I regularly carry metal objects with sharp edges. It’s held up extremely well after one year. The metal that I am carrying is also painted and it does not scratch the paint like a spray in would. I have a soft roll up cover so I do...
  13. 10K Oil Change Interval Confirmed OK via Oil Analysis at 8K miles [Hybrid Maverick]

I always change my oil once a week, whether I drive my Maverick or not. Better safe than sorry I always say.
  14. Dealer says GPS Tracker will be installed on all new build orders?

They didn’t sell it. They share it. All insurance companies doing business in that state have access to it through the registry of motor vehicles or what ever Maine calls it. The same way they share your driving record.
  15. Calling all that are happy with little to no issues!

Picked up my 2023 XL Hybrid in this past May. Total base, model. Only option is the trailer hitch receiver. $22,800 just under $25k out the door with taxes and title. I have 22,000 on the odometer so far and zero issues. Before the weather got cold I was regularly getting 48-50 mpg. With...
  16. Carplay issues

Yes this happens to me also. It’s only the first call after connecting. Does not matter if it is by cable or blue tooth adapter. I have tried several different cables. software and firmware all around are up to date. Second and all subsequent calls no problem. It’s a minor annoyance but I...
  17. Hybrid Oil Change Undercarriage Cover???

Someone recently posted a diagram with the measurements for cutting holes in the plastic Hybrid undercarriage cover for the oil filter and drain plug. I can not find it. Could someone direct me to that post please? I have already used the search function with no luck. Thank You.
  18. Going to tow a 5' x 8' UHaul enclosed 1250 miles beginning 18 Sept

I rent u haul 4x7 utility and 5x8 enclosed trailer regularly. Never paid attention to the 55 MPH stickers on the sides. Cruise on the highway at 70 mph with no issues so far. Except gas mileage drops down to 36 from 47 average. If you use trailer mode it will not run without gas engine or to...
  19. Protecting Your Car from Being Stolen-Theft

Do you think it is hard? Probably would take the same amount of time as it takes you to unlock it with your key and start it? The real question is do they even need to? A couple of car rollers and a flat bed and it’s gone in 60 seconds.
