Hello,
Been lurking this forum since finding out and ordering a Maverick hybrid.
Would like to ease nerves and see who has a hybrid that has little to no problems. I placed an order recently and hesitant on hybrid.
But at the same time it fits all the marks in what I need in a vehicle
-gas efficient( I drive over 40miles a day)
-cargo space(bed to hold oversized items)
-passenger seats(family)
-durable?(cv axles big issue?)
Primarily used as a work vehicle, carrying tools as well, current vehicle gets crammed very fast. Anyways Thanks. And hope to join the club soon.
Don't have a hybrid but LOVE LOVE LOVE my 2022 Chili Pepper Red, no problems in 2 years with a few road trips, good luck!!!!!!

23 XLT EB, almost 4 month old. Approx 900 miles. The blinker light warning recall done in driveway by mobile tech. Refilled fuel tank only twice, so far.p

No issues so far. Starts every time I get in it, lol. Longest trip driven - 26 miles one way.

Wife likes it…easier to haul bags of garden, potting soil, cow manure. Uses tailgate to open bags, dump soil/cow manure in wheel barrel to spread amongst gardens. Perfect height for her.

I picked mine up at the dealership 15 months after ordering on 1/26/23 and have 12,600 miles now. I did have a DC/DC converter go out at 780 miles but that was replaced in about 4 days. Also a deep sleep issue after the converter was replaced, but that was taken care of (I don't think the battery management system was initially reset correctly) and it has been absolutely perfect since. This is exactly what I was looking for when I ordered it. I'm not sure what the wait time is now for the hybrid but I'm sure you'll find it worth the wait.

No problems. Pleased to carry a pallet of cement, about 1300 pounds, loaded with a fork lift. The little truck still got 36 MPG.

I'm on my second Maverick hybrid. Other than the silly radio, which has issues, I've had no problems. There are certain "quirks" that take some getting used to such as the regenerative braking, but nothing that can't overlooked for a truck that gets this kind of mileage. I am averaging 41.2 mpg calculated on my Fuelly app. The computer usually calculates at about 2mpg higher than what I actually get. I've even towed a small popup camper with it.

The fire hazard was for gas engines in the Hybrids made within a limited time frame. Not an issue on new ones.

CV axle issues are real, but seem to be limited. Of course, you hear about the issues on here - not from people that haven't had problems with them.

The Ford Maverick Hybrid system uses a lot of the same Hybrid technology as the toyota prius and is licensed from toyota. Particularly the very reliable eCVT. Not to be confused with conventional CVTs in other vehicles that use belts & pulleys.

I have a 2023 Hybrid XLT Luxury. Picked it up September 8, 2023, already have over 11,100 miles on it. A couple of minor issues, but nothing more egregious than any other newer release model. I drive about 100 miles a day for my round trip commute, getting about 38-42 mpg depending on temps, (80% Interstate), I'd buy mine all over again! My son has a 22 EB AWD with over 25k on it, no major issues. Pull the trigger, you won't regret it!!

I just got a 2024 XLT Lux EB and I already have 2k miles on it. With undiagnosed medical issues (dizziness) I haven't been able to focus on the truck as much as I normally would but I'm pretty happy with it. I will say the ride is damn firm, but not too bad. I wonder if the Lincoln Corsair suspension swaps over? Hmm Maybe something to look into.

Gets pretty good mileage (I average 28) but I also have the much more aggressive tires on those optional machined wheels. The look of the truck is ok, but it's missing something. Maybe window tint. Sure would like to upgrade it to Sync 3 or 4 one day.

I have a 23 XL Hybrid with CP360 and a receiver hitch. I waited just under a year and picked it up late last August.

Just have 3050 miles on it, 1000 of those were a trip from Vermont to NC in early November.

Two software update recalls done at the same time. Every vehicle has recalls. So far no issues, knock on wood! I really like this truck and how it drives.

Had a 2022 used Maverick XLT and sold it after 2024 Maverick arrived. 11k miles and no issues. Have 3k miles on 2024 XLT and no issues. Dealer arrives at my house in 3 days to take care of the turn signal recall. Same dealer came to my house and performed 2 recalls on the 2022.
Great truck, great mileage.

Don't let this forum get you down. I got on it immediately after ordering my 2022 XL Hybrid. The input was so negative that I quit the forum after about 2 months and just waited out the last 8 months before delivery. After delivery, and being perfectly happy with the truck, I came back on. Happily, one guy had pointed out that the naysayers are FAR OUTNUMBERED by the folks that are perfectly happy with their truck. (The input was so horrible posters were bitching about the truck and they hadn't even received it yet! I finally suspected that the posters were General Motors employees. Then I felt better.) Enjoy your truck!

16k and issues so far include grabby brakes and deep sleep. One is fixed and the other is intermittent.

I’m very happy with my hybrid, so far. I have had small issues with the brakes lurching and now I’m noticing a small vibration on acceleration at around 50-65mph. I have a couple of recalls and will bring these issues up when I take it in. Other than that, I am at 17,000 miles and happy with the excellent gas mileage. I would like to see an AWD model though. The FWD is fine but AWD would make it a complete package IMO.

That’s awesome! And I have always been Toyota and Honda for “reliability” so it’s great to hear you’ve had no major issues. Going through post I see more bad then good hehe, so wanted to see some more good about the maverick.
thanks

If you get new girl friend you have more problems than buying a new Maverick Hybrid. :)
