Can not sweat as you like to say if it is sealed. It can if unsealed which is what I said.

You can only be referring to opened, partially used drums, maybe even continuously or frequently opened drums. That's probably what you meant.
At my workplace we run brand new drums through a processor before using it. The processor always pulls some water out of the brand new oil in the drums.

I doubt many are filling with old oil. Aside from an emergency, I would caution against using it due to likely separation, oxidation, moisture, thickening, etc.

Is it still motor oil? Yes, but I wouldn't put it in any engine I cared about for long. Fluids are affordable and plentiful, vehicles are expensive.

I did the prepaid service. I asked since im at 6 months and <2k miles and they said once a year if you don't meet the mileage.
That being said when I dropped off this morning for the recalls and to get the freaking sync 3 updated they decided to do an oil change and rotate :D

Your statement does not provide evidence that changing at the manufacturer's recommended interval will cause a blown engine.
Blown engine? most probably not, but it could wear engine parts at a higher rate than the guy being cautious. I would rather be overly cautious and possibly have an engine that lasts 200,000+.
