Best "small truck" insults!?

My (hopefully fulfilled soon) Mav will my first Mexico built vehicle. I’m looking forward to it. I strongly prefer J or K VIN numbers. I’ve had a couple of US built Japanese vehicles and they’ve been ok but not quite the build quality of the Js. We’ll see how it does.

My VW Cabrio was hecho in Mexico…it was a great car…except the leather wrapped steering wheel, which they replace, sheesh, Mexico is known for leather…que pasa???

I was at a gas station yesterday when a similar sized truck rolled up, power step folds down and this smaller woman climbs out to gas up her truck. $91.00 she complained. I get irritated when I can’t coax 32 mpg out of my Subaru. it takes all types I guess. I just can’t imagine piloting one of those huge trucks in everyday traffic.

Ford says it's a truck. The DOT says it's a truck. Car & Driver, Consumer Reports, and Motor Tread say it's a truck.

I'm gonna go ahead and believe all of them over random parking lot dude.

In my case, it may be my "ending" truck. Old age has its advantages.

That is cute, but also quite astute! Not only is the Mav a "gateway" truck, it's also an "end game" truck for those of us who have been there & done that with big trucks most of our lives, and no longer need the capacity/size anymore, but still need/want a truck. Kind of goes full circle. Pretty unique vehicle that can do that!

I recenttly retired and needed a vehicle to get me from point A to point B as economicly as possible and still do truck stuff , most of the time it will be hauling a fishing pole .

I was made by Mexicans as a mater of fact, and rather nicely if I say so myself.

I love my Honda Fit. Had to buy something to get me by until my Maverick gets built. About to roll over 300k and it might outlast the Mav

My coworkers (almost entirely female) like to refer to it as “a little baby truck”, but all of them like it and always say it makes a lot of sense - and any opportunity to razz me is of course taken very seriously

That was about the size of actual trucks when the song "Pickup Man" was released.

I live in the heart of the reddest state in the union. And to be honest, all of my conversations so far has been in awe of it. Even the guy who had a very nicely equipped F-150 came over specifically to talk about how cool my truck was.

The butt-dragging or jacked-up trucks that peel out at traffic lights do that anyway, so I doubt that was a reflection on the Maverick. Honestly,. the biggest lie they tell is, "I don't care what people think about me." Yes, you do; otherwise you wouldn't have a truck that screams, "LOOK AT ME!" Buy a sensibly sized vehicle for your needs. That's how you tell people, "I don't care what people think about me."

My 3 year-old and I call the maverick Baby Truck because she loves the song
& we have baby cars in the family. She may think cars actual all start as babies then grow up.

In a parking lot of bro-dozers, soccer mom Volvos and generic SUV blobs, my Maverick draws attention and comments quite frequently. I enjoy the jabs and don't hesitate to have some friendly banter with friends and colleagues. I did not expect it would be my 14 year old niece to take the award for best Maverick insult to date.

While taking my daughter and niece on a short shopping trip in the Mav, my niece remarked that it was quite nice and was "kind of like a beginner truck."

A beginner truck...like I'm just learning to truck!
