When I hear baby truck, I have horrible flash backs of that awful baby shark song my niece and nephews used to sing over and over and over again. If someone puts that song with modified lyrics to maverick stock footage, I may turn in my keys when they arrive out of shame.

I'm at that age where it doesn't matter to me what size a truck a person own's. Alot of people need a larger truck, some do not. I've had owners of large trucks ask about my Maverick and they were mostly thinking about downsizing to something smaller with a more affordable price and are tired of filling their big tanks. I had never owned a pickup before so when I read an article a few years ago about the Maverick I thought, this is something different. I can't remember word for word, but the article said, "if you've never owned a pickup before and want a smooth ride like a car and don't do a lot of construction type work, then this truck is for you." I thought, yeah, I'm that person. So instead of getting yet another SUV I decided to go for it and couldn't be happier. This club is really great because I'm seeing how many Maverick owners use their trucks for many different things. Anyway, large truck or small, all good. (y)

Since my last truck was a Mazda B2000 I was already into mini-trucking. Once in a while I miss the 7.5 foot bed on that truck but I have been able to do everything I need to with the Maverick. If it doesn't fit in the Maverick I no longer want or need to haul it.

He: "When are you gonna buy a real truck?"

Me: "When are you gonna get 50 miles per gallon?"

He: "You don't get 50 miles per gallon."

Me: "Wanna bet pinks?"

He: "No."

Interesting I live in a part of California that has hundreds of farms that produces most of your products you put on your shelves and dinner tables. The farmers out here have tractor’s three to four times the size or my truck if I leave it in an area where it shouldn’t be they will run it over and not realize it. They have 4 to 5 horse trailers large Chevy, ram, ford trucks all large vehicles.
When I arrive at their homes they always give me a thumbs up and always want to see my truck (truck) that’s what they call it. Its interesting that they check out my truck even take a ride in it. If anyone knows what a truck is are farmers. Personally from reading all the comments on MTC people are just jealous. 🤷‍♂️

I'm still baffled why Ford didn't name it the Bronco Sport Trac
I had the same thought. Likely because they would have to use the same "Bronco" grill and would have to up its off-road creds a little

In a parking lot of bro-dozers, soccer mom Volvos and generic SUV blobs, my Maverick draws attention and comments quite frequently. I enjoy the jabs and don't hesitate to have some friendly banter with friends and colleagues. I did not expect it would be my 14 year old niece to take the award for best Maverick insult to date.

While taking my daughter and niece on a short shopping trip in the Mav, my niece remarked that it was quite nice and was "kind of like a beginner truck."

A beginner truck...like I'm just learning to truck!

So funny!

Anyone else with clever Mav insults?
This is not a “Barbie Dream Truck”😂
