Thinking about Reserve Capacity, the OE Motorcraft battery is rated for 65 minutes @ 25 amps, by my (suspect) calculations that is about 22 days before the battery is discharged to 10.5 volts, @ a worst case quiescent current draw of 50mA. Of course this is for a fully charged good battery and a ambient temperature of 26C (79F), capacity goes down at lower temperatures - about half below freezing!
Do we know what is the minimum voltage needed to power up enough systems to allow the 400 volt battery to start the engine?
Not sure but it seems like somewhere I read or someone posted 10.6 was sleep mode happening and lights stopped coming on at 11.0 or 11.1 but I have slept many times since....???? Only one time did my XLT not have lights come on and I failed to check voltage yhen when I turned key for ready status everything worked like normal. I left key in ready status for about 45-50 minutes for ice to cycle and bms to charge 12v.

Where was that "near a flat 12V" measured, and what exactly was the measured resting voltage?

Also, this isn't a hybrid escape, and the system is somewhat different in various ways. For example, the electric motor is custom so far to just the Maverick, and is lighter than the previous generations.

I wish I could say more, but sadly, thorough technical documentation on the overall Maverick hybrid system just isn't available yet. For example, we don't yet know what the maximum continuous rating for the DC to DC inverter is.
The lighter motor turns at a greater RPM to not only match but outperform the larger heavier motor.

Probably a Lithium replacement, but not cheap.

OP here. After investigating batteries for our Hybrids I swapped mine out after 4+ months of Low voltage and deep sleep every ~3-4 days even when charging overnight.

I'm now at more than 4 months since the battery swap, and zero problems since installing the new Diehard battery. The new battery fixed MY truck's problem. It may or maynot fix yours.

My battery replacement thread is here....

good luck...

Had the update on TCM done and about one or two days later I got the message again SSM 51449 and 51228 for connectivity problem which the Ford Pass people identified again is for remote start, lock and unlock. So the next day when I went out to start the vehicle it was dead and wouldn't start was dead so it looks like something hung up electrically and ran the battery down this is the second time I suspect it could be something with locking it or unlocking. What ever the electrical component is staying energized is killing the battery. Maybe related to the modem causing it I know people have turned it off which then may not be problem then for deep sleep mode. Have requested another appointment with the dealer I think they should do away with the sleep mode it's not reliable. Luckily I have NOCO Booster I keep in the truck as soon as I connected that everything came back up and was able to start the Maverick May turn off the modem until dealer decides what to do.
Did you ever get your deep sleep mode/dead battery issues fixed? I have had my ‘23. XLT Lux at the dealership 5 times because it keeps dying on my. I also get frequent deep sleep mode messages. They have replaced the battery once and performed SSM 51598, but the issues keep returning.

12-12.2V at the battery. And even when charging the battery externally it would drop off to below 12.3V in a matter of 15 minutes or less. Strangely, the CCA is still tests as more than adequate.

The electric motor is irrelevant to charging. That is handled by the DC-DC converter.
Did you ever fix your battery drain issues?

Also, was the battery still hooked up to the vehicle when you used your external charger?

No still getting the message which now identifies as a battery saver mode vs deep sleep mode still one in the same. Checked with Ford Pass People they said now it is SSM51725 again relates to the same problem. I still have to open recalls on the 22 Maverick will let them know about this message when I take it in again. I guess FORD Fix or Repair Daily still can't get their shit together by the looks. Also watching the Toyota Stout Hybrid Truck that's do out shortly as alternative to the Maverick.

Did you replace your battery with a non-Motorcraft battery?

I’m tempted to try what you did and replace my battery with an aftermarket one. However, my maverick has actually been dying from the battery issues. I’m not just receiving deep sleep messages.

Did yours ever die, or did you just receive messages? I’m worried I have a bigger issue going on. I’d love to hear more specifics on your issues.

Knock on Wood (2x6 fits divider in bed)?
I have not had deep sleep at 22k miles but CCA was down to 411 on last test so is getting close, I suppose. If Truck was out of warranty I would replace with new Ford battery and charge the old battery thoroughly and then run the repair cycle on my noco maintainer and leave it on it for 4 months total and then swap them out and put newer battery on maintain cycle. Suspect the heavy use of 12v is sulfating or causing zones of different specific gravity which could bring a portion of plates to full charge but not all. Would reduce cca and reserve capacity. Battery needs long time recovery charge. Anyone know if Ford battery is deep cycle (= different specific gravity?). Someone needs to take voltage of battery and compare actual amps to bring to full charge to the amps that should bring new unused up to that voltage. After warranty is over I may just put my noco on under hood posts quite frequently.

Typically a charged 12 volt battery will rest at 12.8 volts. Just for your consideration, My motorhome batteries were being discharged because of a constant small draw from the active inverter system. Winnebago provides a disconnect switch that isolates the transients. Since I have been using this switch, my battery voltage stays well above 12 volts for rest periods of three months or so. Is there a control that will isolate the inverter?

This is what fixed my Hybrids voltage issues:

In that post you stated that you checked the original battery voltage multiple times and found 11.4V. Have you checked the voltage at all on the new battery to confirm that it’s always staying above 12v?

Yes, I checked the new battery voltage many times, always good, interior lights always came on, and zero deep sleep events..... Mine was 100% a battery issue. That may or may not be the problem with other's trucks...

good luck.
