You wouldn't know why the 5 speed in my 1993 Ranger--that had really bad 2nd and 3rd gear synchros--suddenly made a 'growling' noise and cured itself! It's a miracle!

Jeff
Wow, things are going good for you today! Go buy a lottery ticket. 😆

👉👉 Question for the OP 👈👈
Experienced an odd problem a couple of days ago. I mistakenly left my key fob in the truck with the doors unlocked. The next morning was looking for the fob. I remembered where I put it and went out to the truck but found it locked. I’m not sure how this could’ve happened. If I had left the fob in the truck and locked it, I should have gotten an immediate audible alert. What gives?

I used my wife’s fob which she keeps in the house, went to the truck and was able to open the door. Is this just a one time blip or something that I should be concerned with? Of course, if I keep the fob in my pocket and do not leave it in the truck, I’ve solved that problem, but I would really like to get to the bottom of this.

Bob,
Okay understand that.
I'm guessing that your truck is in the garage because you left the doors unlocked with the keys in it?
If that is the case. Roll a window down. Leave your keys in the same place you previously did inside the truck. Making sure the doors are unlocked. See what happens in the morning.

It's doing it again! I notice that, unless I push that top button in before shutting the door it locks. The other 3 doors don't do this. Grrr!

🤔 Do you mean like, pushing open the unlocked door, with your hand accidentally locking it. and then having to use the unlock button before you close it? Like shown in the video.👇🏼

You know what Ron White said about fixing human characteristics? There is one you can't fix. How many times do you need to demonstrate what is happening?
This video is exactly what Jeff says he's doing. Which shows how he's locking the door when he pushes it open. Maybe, if he watches the video, he'll realize what's happening.

I don’t think I was clear enough with my original post. To keep it as simple as possible, I left the fob in the truck and left the truck unlocked. I had no intention of locking it because I was going to use it later in the day, but I didn’t. The next day I went to open the truck and saw the fob in there, but the doors were locked. I thought I recall that if one tried to lock the truck with the fob still inside the truck, there would be an audible alarm. This did not occur. I guess my question is simply should one hear an alarm if one tries to lock the truck with the fob inside the cab. This has nothing to do with accidentally hitting the lock on the inside door handle or touching the raised area on the outside handle.
Okay understand that.

So pretty quick video to take then.
Your director Glenn has described the needed shot.
I'm not sure who our lighting crew is - but your camera may suffice.
Please don't request a stunt double.
But after the video you may want one.
