  1. Ford Midsize EV Truck News: Ford Skunkworks (EVDC) - first ever behind the scenes tour; sneak peek at EV pickup [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Ford is not producing this truck for the vast majority of Americans. Ford will be very happy with selling 100,000 of these every year and if it is a good truck at a decent price, this goal will be easily obtained
  2. Check Dis Out: Should I Buy a 2026 Ford Maverick? // Owner Review

I have also watched many maverick videos but I found this one pretty interesting since it goes in depth on modifications to the logo. His rider has installed three aftermarket exhaust systems and is looking to do it the fourth time. His comments and the issues that he talked about were...
  3. Another recall - Mavericks included, with trailer tow connection

Ford estimates that 1% of the Mavericks to be recalledare affected by the issue
  4. Rear brake noise

I have been listening carefully to when the noise occurs, and except for once it is always when backing up the first thing on a cold morning. It sounds to me like one of the pads maybe sticking on the rotor. It doesn’t last more than a couple of seconds. I never set the parking brake. I get a...
  5. Rear brake noise

Thanks for your input but I don’t think it is due to rotor rust. Yesterday I drove 10 miles to town with plenty of braking, parked it for an hour, started it up and got the growl when backing up.
  6. Rear brake noise

I’ll start out by saying that I’m not sure that the noise is coming from the rear brakes as it could be coming from somewhere else in the rear of the truck. Recently and only when backing up, I began hearing a loud noise or growl similar to what I can only describe is a binding brake. It does...
  7. Rubbing buzzing sound coming from Overhead Console 2025

Thanks Art. Nice clear video on how to remove the console.
  8. Rubbing buzzing sound coming from Overhead Console 2025

I only have an iPad and I can’t reduce the file size to less than 8.1 MB, which is apparently too large For the website although I have been able to text it to the dealership. This whole issue has been driving me a little batty. I’ve been to the dealer three times and they said that Ford is...
  9. Door Mount Rearview Mirros

The plastic welder is a pretty cool tool. What a great idea for the workshop and Home.
  10. Rubbing buzzing sound coming from Overhead Console 2025

Hi Bill - last fall I posted a question about a noise coming from my overhead console and you said you had a similar noise, brought it to the dealer and they replaced the console and the noise was gone. I have been trying to get my local dealer to address the problem, but they said Ford would not...
  11. Travel trailer experiences?

As I recall the main difference between the 15 foot and 17 foot bush whackers is that the larger one has bunkbeds. I don’t know where you live but there are a number of 17 foot Bushwacker at good prices on Facebook in New England.
  12. Travel trailer experiences?

I have a 15’ Braxton Creek Bushwacker camper with shower, toilet, indoor sink and gas range, microwave, AC, etc. It is about 2100 pounds with a 6’ inside ceiling height. It is an easy pull with my AWD hybrid. Because of Its width I can’t behind the camper with the side view mirrors so I am...
  13. Thinking about painting my rims bronze, opinions?

If you are thinking about plastic coating, I would think that it would peel and chip pretty quickly and would look lousy. I had a set of silver rims on a Mini that I had powder coated black matte. $600 but I felt it was worth it. My advice is either to leave as is or go all the way.
  14. Thinking about painting my rims bronze, opinions?

I assume you mean powder coating and not painting.
  15. Rear mounted snow plow installed

Because the Maverick is unibody it cannot accept a front mounted plow. I now use a front mounted John Deere snowblower. But living up north I have always had a back up plan in case problems arose with the tractor. I still have a homeowners plow that I used on my last two pick ups so I decided...
  16. Auto lock problems

I received a lot of comments and advice about my auto lock problem. I’ve been out of the country for the last couple weeks so I could not do any of the tests that were suggested. I have now had a chance to do some testing and these are the results. With the fob in the truck, I locked the doors...
  17. Auto lock problems

I don’t think I was clear enough with my original post. To keep it as simple as possible, I left the fob in the truck and left the truck unlocked. I had no intention of locking it because I was going to use it later in the day, but I didn’t. The next day I went to open the truck and saw the fob...
  18. Auto lock problems

i don’t think I was clear enough in my original post every time
  19. Auto lock problems

Experienced an odd problem a couple of days ago. I mistakenly left my key fob in the truck with the doors unlocked. The next morning was looking for the fob. I remembered where I put it and went out to the truck but found it locked. I’m not sure how this could’ve happened. If I had left the fob...
  20. Camper / trailer to pull with my Hybrid Maverick - recommendations?

I just got back from an 800 mile camping trip from Maine to New Brunswick. I got 23 miles a gallon on my 25 all-wheel-drive hybrid With 12% electric. A lot of long grades that affected the mileage but I couldn’t be happier. I’ve taken that same trip in the past with my 18 Colorado...
