Hey Ford robot that chimes in once in a while with useless offers to “check” out this problem for us.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED A LONG TIME AGO! THE STUPID NONSENSE OF DRIVE IT MORE REPEATED AD INFINITUM IS INSULTING AND THE FACT THAT OWNERS ARE NOW POSTING HOW TO HOOK UP TRICKLE CHARGERS INDICATES FORD EITHER. A. HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO FIX IT BUT WONT ADMIT IT OR.
B. DONT GIVE A RAT SHIT ABOUT EVEN HELPING US GET OUR TRUCK TO WORK LIKE IT SHOULD!

I love my truck but this is ”f######” inexcusable!!!

My 52 year old carbureted antique musclecar would start when these hybrids won't. Common Ford, you can do better! No cold start issues with my ecoboost yet.

Is this “deep sleep” issue common to all versions of the Maverick?

is the problem limited to truck owners up north (ie cold weather issue)?

It happens a lot more in the cold. Mines in deep sleep mostly all winter. It still starts when I use it once a week (knock on wood)!

I've given up on the deep sleep problem. I refuse to do or buy additional things to make it run like it's supposed to from the factory.

The good news is the 2025 Toyota Stout is coming... My truck will be paid off and ready for trade-in by then. Congrats Ford. You managed to make me a first-time Ford owner, but I'm going back to the good ole reliable Toyota brand.

The make believe Stout. good one. There would be substantial rumors by now for a 2025 Stout There are none. just the Maverick remake pictures. Plus the nonsense rumors that are out the pricing is off by a mile. The corolla cross hybrid real price is 30K base model , . The Stout if EVER made would be too for a start price . Hey I would consider one BUT I doubt we ever see one. IF they make one MAYBE 2026 or 2027. But way more money.

For the extra money the toyota would be get an extended warranty from ford.

Deep sleep is annoying, but I just got 50 mpg on a short trip by keeping the heat off. The good mileage is back because I demanded less. Deep sleep is not going to be an XL issue I think. It's an XLT/Lariat Hybrid issue.

I'm asking for fuel efficiency, but I still want to run all of these electronics, hvac and seat heaters on short trips. It's not magic. Hybrid cars were originally base models. I'm gonna try wearing gloves and hat for short trips and greatly reduce power demand.

-12 months, 12 deep sleeps (2 in the last week), no affect on my usage.

Ford wouldn't fix mine under warranty, that extra money on the mythical Toyota might be better spent.

appointment Feb 6 SSM 51725 we will see
appointment was on time, no issues - now I no longer receive the message that the truck has been shut down to conserve battery. The vehicle is still dark, no interior lights, no door chime same as before; except now no notification. Truck has always started fine and continues to spring to life when you insert the key. So at this time it would seem that the notification message has been removed or altered. Time will tell if this SSM 51725 procedure was a fix

Yes. Caps Lock will drive the point home to the FORD account here only looking for people's information...

I understand the frustration, but they don't care. It's very obvious they don't care. It puts vehicles in their service center and generates them more money. They love selling those warranties.
I am shocked that you do not believe Ford has our best interests in mine, just look at this email i received

Check your battery charge at no charge.
Rest easier knowing your battery is ready to go when you are. Get a complimentary battery test as part of your next service appointment with a participating Ford Dealer.*

It happens to all Mavericks.
Just wait.
Sort of. All batteries in all vehicles will eventually go bad. Fortunately so far my MY22 EB has never had the "deep sleep", never had the interior lights, etc. to not turn on. Have not had a single issue with the truck, rock solid so far. I have had the 1 recall about the tail light notification, couldn't care less about getting it done. Very lucky I know, glad I haven't had to deal with all that crap so far. Hope I haven't just jinxed myself related to my luck.
