I had to give a copy of Dl and put $500 down, 100 for ford and 400 to what I only can expect is some kind of "good faith" offering to the dealer. All refundable (supposedly). You should have received the Ford email after the order was submitted though. As for what you'll be charged, look out for tacked on dealer accessories. I don't have a DORA but i do have at least a sheet with the pricing printed out on it. Hate to be negative, but you and I should be very much on the lookout for some shady dealer stuff when and if the truck actually arrives.

Rodeo Ford, 7-7-21 no deposit, copy of DL, I have my DORA with sale price MSRP. I went to the dealer to order this in person, On 7-8 received my confirmation email from Ford. ZERO emails since. Wrote to the person I've been dealing with to inquire about my order and got this:

Hello sir. So, we have just recently found out that Ford has halted the production of the Hybrid engines. I have not been informed of any dates that they will begin again. I know that there are lot of orders in the system, more than they anticipated. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time for a status update or inquiry.

The dealer is just saying what that Ford Memo stated that ended up not being true.

Wrote back and showed the Motor Trend article that Hybrids ARE being produced and that its Dealer Stock Hybrids are not being built their response was:

Ford is very confusing at the moment. This is the communication that I received from my Ford rep earlier this week.
  • 22MY Maverick Scheduling -
    • Maverick FWD w/ Trailer Tow Pkg – 22MY Maverick will no longer offer the FWD (W8E) with Trailer Tow Package (53Q).
    • Maverick Hybrid Scheduling – Until further notice, hybrid orders will not be selected for scheduling.

This is the same memo that has been debunked here on the forum. regarding the hybrids. I pointed this out to them and haven't heard back. I also asked by my order code in 19 and not a 10.

Dealers wonder why they are loaved by people. I'm not expecting the truth from this dealer at all.

Ordered from Peoria Ford on 8/7 and still no confirmation or order number, so I'll be giving the sales manager a call Thursday (or maybe a visit). I would think after 6+ weeks, they should have a number of some sorts for me to track.

I ordered from Homes Tuttle on 7/5. Got my conformation from Ford that day and haven't received anything from Ford since. However, I know that's the way the process works and the next email from Ford will be once your Maverick is schedule for it's build. At that time you'll should also receive your VIN and a link for your window sticker. The Ford email system hasn't be totally up to speed though because some folks have called Ford Customer service and received VIN and scheduled build info. You can call Ford and with your Order Code number and Sales Code number they can confirm you Maverick order and possible provide some other information.

I went with Homes Tuttle here in Tucson. $500 Refundable deposit. I'm not sure whether I'll to go with the X-plan or with military discount. All depends when my Maverick arrives and what deals are available at that time.
If the military is rebate is offered it can b used in conjunction with the X PLAN

I bought from Jim Click Ford in Tucson, $500 down (refundable), x price, no adm, plus current promotions at receipt. I can provide my sales guy if anyone wants.

Save some more money by getting the Ford Visa Card before delivery and putting $3-6k down. I’m doing 6k down with it and getting $300 cash back plus $120 in service/accessories

Same here guys, ordered 7-7 confirmation email, and that it's. Rodeo Ford, have emailed them and got the typical BS response which I ignored. Will just sit and wait.

Whose your salesman at Jim Click? You got admin fees?
The last time I talked to mine he wasn't sure if the X plan could be used on the Maverick, but I showed him Ford's pricing using the X plan so now he's on board.

Good luck with them, I bought my last Escape there, absolute worst automotive buying experience in my 45 years on the planet.
I hope you can avoid the "required lojack system that will save you thousands a year on car insurance" that they used to push for on sales.

Although I will admit, it was fun when I called the sales manager's bluff and said "OK, fair enough. I'll pay 100% of your asking price for that lojack if my insurance will drop, let me call my agent real quick like."
I throw it on speaker phone in their office and ask if this device will save me anything on my plan and my agent responds with: "Hahaha. No, it won't save you a penny with us, or any other major insurance company, that sales manager is 100% lying to you, there's no doubt at all about it."

Man, my rates would have to go sky high for me to consider bailing from my agent after the look I got from that sales manager. :ROFLMAO:

Anyway, "rant off" and again, good luck; hope your experience with them is as good as mine was bad!

LoJack was good, however, the police departments have to pay for the equipment to find your car, we had a car with it, and found out that PHX police department has less than 15% of patrol cars with the equipment. With modern cars with GPS the cars can be found. Thanks for the heads up...

just toss an Aaple Air Tag in the car, $30. Bonus, you can find your parking spot too

That's one option.
Another is just to not worry about it never being found and let my insurance handle it.

If I had some car with sentimental value or something, I guess I can understand it but otherwise? It just seems silly to me, chances are that I don't want the car back at that point anyway.

I just read an article about a dark-side use of those Apple Air Tag. A person stuck one on a lady's car to track her movements!!

“Apple has though of that. If you have an iPhone, and your iPhone noticed it that it seems like an Airtag is following it around it will actually notify you and make a little sound.”
