I bought a 2022 Hybrid used. 28k when I bought it. I love this little truck. I commute 45 minutes each way daily and between the gas mileage, how easy and fun it is to drive and the the practical use I get as a delivery vehicle, it really works for me. But I just had both CV axles replaced an 40 k miles and 3 recalls done. All at Fords expense but this car will be out of warranty in 10k. Are Mavericks just not well built and should I get rid of it before it goes out af drive train warranty? Curious to see other owners responses. I know on forums you always hear the bad stuff, but it seems to be a little worse for the Maverick.

Well, it's a Ford, it's made in Mexico, it's cheap. Strike one, strike two, strike three.
I bought mine because it was new, different, fun. When, not if, it turns into a turd, I will flush it and get another Toyota.

It's a first-year vehicle. There's going to be issues that need to be ironed out, and WE ALL KNEW THIS going into our purchase. Yeah, the recalls are an inconvenience, whether it's hybrid or EB issues. Time will tell if the Maverick is a complete POS or an absolute gem. I gave up 25 years of Honda ownership to buy a Maverick. Two years in I have no regrets. Ask me in three years where I stand when the Maverick is paid for and has some mileage on it. I just turned 30,000 this week.

I'm with Slingshot on this: If it's a turd, it's getting flushed and I'm going back to Honda.

Did you get a Cross hybrid? Seems I remember you did. If so how is it doing so far?

I love the MTC. The thread just before this one was painting the Maverick as the most brilliant, trouble free, glorious feat of quality engineering in the history of the automotive industry.

OP, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Some Mavericks rock. Others are rocks. There are endless arguments on this forum about the ratio between Mavericks that rock and Mavericks that are rocks.

Truth is, none of us self-appointed automotive geniuses have access to the statistical data that would answer your question. We're all reading tea leaves in the form of MTC postings or our own personal ownership experiences. And then we confidently post our conclusions as THE TRUTH.

Old computer science maxim: garbage in, garbage out.

Another huge variable is how well you take care of the vehicle. All the people going by the oil life indicator that don't live in California-like weather? Yeah those Mavericks aren't gonna make it. Guys that change at 5k mi ECO and 7.5k mi hybrid? We have a chance

You should seriously consider a Ford PremiumCare warranty for as long as you want to keep it, and as many total miles you want. Get a quote from @Granger Ford . I would NEVER consider going without a Ford warranty, given all the complexity. I had a 2017 C-Max and paid $905 for the 8 year warranty, and when I sold it after 6 years, that warranty was worth the $905 to the buyer who gave me a great price.

Not yet. It is in my top 5 choices when the inevitable happens.
The Corolla Cross was my top choice vehicle. It was the dealership that f'ed up any further desire to get one. Back then you had to place a spleen ($2000!!) on deposit to order one. Funk that noise. I put $0 down to order the Maverick. No brainer.

My lemon was a 2005 Nissan Sentra. Worst car, new or used, that I have ever owned. It was also built in Mexico. I'm a slow learner!!
