Lol. Both my ‘Dodges’ have shifters.......Just pretend you're driving a Land Rover, Same dial, but the Ford's doesn't pop up like it's shopping in the freezer section.
If you're on a budget, pretend it's a Dodge.

despite current popular culture and thinking, not ALL "innovation" or "progress" is good- or necessary.Isn’t that the opposite of “innovation?” Going back to the way things were?
I have not had a dial shift but I’m looking forward to it. It looks low and out of the way. Which is nice, since my dog has happily knocked my traditional shifter out of gear in my current vehicle.
I'm an "older" kinda guy, never had a dial shifter before.First car with a dial and l love it. Other than reverse you can rotate the dial as times as you want for park or drive. With low being a push button there is no chance of going into that like I would accidently do once and a while in my Sonic. Even if the Mav had a lever it wouldn't be connected to the trans like the olden days, it would still be an electrical connection. If you are feeling extra lazy you don't even have to shift into park, it will do that on its own if you shut the truck off while in gear.
yes, my understanding is it is "drive by wire". My biggest issue with it is my other 2 vehicles are still mechanical lever shifters and it will take re-learning each time swapping between vehicles, which is a frequent event. Also the problem I have with the stupid start/stop in the F-150. Don't want it. don't need it, don't like it... at.all. For some people on here they don't mind it as you can disable each time you start it. That's great if it is your daily driver and becomes 2nd nature. For me switching vehicles back and forth it is just a PITA.First car with a dial and l love it. Other than reverse you can rotate the dial as times as you want for park or drive. Get the Start/stop eliminator. I have it in my Maverick and love it.Also the problem I have with the stupid start/stop in the F-150. Don't want it. don't need it, don't like it... at.all. For some people on here they don't mind it as you can disable each time you start it.
that will be an option when I actually receive my Mav..Get the Start/stop eliminator. I have it in my Maverick and love it.
Had dial shifter in a couple of cars, Edge and Escape as well as my Mav. Once I got used to it I liked it and it gives you more room. But, to each his/her own.i would like to ask all, does anyone like the diel shift. i personally do not like it. so I am on a mission to see if there is a way to put a hand held shift like an f150. does anyone agree. thank you
