Aftermarket gas tank upgrade -- is it an option?

13.8 gallon factory gas tank is too darn small..Are there any aftermarket tank upgrades? Not interested in aux tank in bed but rather replacement of factory tank with a bigger one... 13.8 gallon like wth

There is no option through Ford for larger fuel tank for the hybrid.
Is possible for the EcoBoost 16.5 tank to fit? Remember, the Hybrid fuel tank is a pressurized tank. That may make swapping a bit of a problem.
My Personal experience. Yours may vary.

Last summer in Utah I toured around one weekend average around 38-42 miles to the gallon. On fill up I saw over 500 miles of stated range. Which is more than my range.

13.7*34 = 465
13.7*45 = 616
I have frequently gotten 580-620 miles on a tank in the summer.

Of all the things to be changed out, why this?

what's the point of it? just to go across nation faster than others? brb jail, fines, tickets, reckless driving, points, impounding

I get there are hobbies, but this is dangerous/wreckless most the people who do it. I saw a YouTube video, and they said they was going over 100mph basically entire time. insane.

Wait till one tows a light trailer.

My old F250 diesel short wheelbase has small fuel tank. Towing our 5th wheel didn’t get good range. So I installed a 35 gallon aux tank in bed, did fuel transfers into main tank. That gave us great range, and no worries hunting for a fuel station. Especially in AZ and UT regions.

Why not just keep it full? You can make it any smaller size by filling up more often.
