Check out Blake's Cars on Youtube. He has had many Mavericks. He had both hybrid and ecoboost models. He actually ran the hybrid out of gas then drove until the battery shut down too. Can't remember what he said. He had a gas can he emptied into the tank to drive it again. Both of those Mavericks he was planning to sell before doing it.Ok... So who's going to run their hybrid until it stops on the side of the road then tell us how much it took to refill? Come on, do it in the name of science!
Funny enough, so I drove my '15 Edge until it had 8 miles range on the computer. Refilled with 15.1 gallons, which is in line with what it takes when I am about to that point. I get average about 22 mpg, so figure it's a half gallon or so left.
I have never looked up the size tank, just know the vehicle from years of fill ups over 140k miles. Always assumed around 15.5 or 16 gallons. Apparently it's reported at 18... So opposite issue. Not a help for this discussion, but I found it ironic/humorous.
