There was no need to insult me. Some of these fluid change intervals are way too long, like lifetime fluids some say you can get away with. OEMs don't want your vehicle to last. They want to sell you a new one every few years. It isn't in their interests for your vehicle to last 300k miles. I really don't care how long you go before you change your fluids. I am just saying what I am going to do. That is why I don't like buying used vehicles. I don't know how they were taken care of.His post was useful, yours, not so much. I'm happy for you anyways.
I get what he is saying but there is no way I have to know how much my engine is running or not running. I guess you can look at the oil and see how dirty it is. I am not going by that oil life monitor to judge when to change my oil. 5 or 6k miles and mine is getting an oil change, but I will likely hit the year first. Oil is cheap. Engines are expensive.
