"Ford on Monday announced it took a massive $19.5 billion hit tied to its electric vehicle production and said it will scrap the electric F-150 truck.
Ford Motors poured billions of dollars into producing electric vehicles during the war on gas-powered vehicles.

My 2023 Lariat Hybrid was built on Thanksgiving day (first day for my23) and I took delivery on January 11th of 2023. I have had occasional sleep mode issues but it has always started. If I drove any distance over say, 20 miles it was was fine. The tell-tale sign is no interior lighting when you...
My Hybrid is 2 years old. I change my oil every 5500 miles or one year, what ever comes first. I get full synthetic and rotation for $60 out the door. Both first and second year I got the "Change Oil" message at one year as I was under 5500 miles.
As for those that didn't know, the computer...
Thanks for your input on this. It was reported at the time that the week of November 21st, 2022, was the transition week. So yes, they finished up some 22s on that Monday and Tuesday (maybe some on Wednesday) and started the 23s sometime on Wednesday, the 23rd. Were this Recall got the date of...
I based my assessment on what we do know. Members like you and I that had our 2021 orders rolled over to 2023 remember the agony we, and many others went through. I know the exact day Ford started the production of my Maverick and to my knowledge, there was no 2023 production started on or...
Well, the NHTSA #24V267000 document cannot be correct.
I believe only 2022 Mavericks are included in this recall, - no 23 or 24 models. First of all, only 53,587 units are affected and looking back, that's about exactly how many were produced in the Feb. 03, 2021 - October 28th, 2022, timeline...
Brandon Ford in Brandon, Florida has plenty of new Trucks, including 14 new Mavericks. Overpriced would be an understatement!
They have . . . 596 F-150s
Pretty close to my situation but I am retired. Ordered a Hybrid Lariat in 2021, waited 15 months and it was built on the first day of 2023 production. I got it in January and I COULDN"T BE HAPPIER!
Yes, some are having legitimate issues, but I have had NONE! Some folks out there would bitch...
Even though my avatar suggests Cactus Grey, I changed my 22MY order to Iconic Silver after it got rolled over. After many months, I finally got to physically see the Catus Grey. I asked the dealership if they could put the two trucks next to each other and for me, I really liked the metallic and...
Exactly - So glad I got my 2023 Lariat/Hybrid (01/11/23) that I ordered back in 2021. I ordered it with all the "Standard" items that were "Included", with the exception of the $100 hitch. This was all I wanted and all I needed. With the $2,750 ford rebate and the Ford A/Z-Plan @ $1,406 applied...
Personally it's the front headlight profile on the right front fender of the vehicle close to the road that is definitive. I know of no other truck with that headlight profile.
I do believe these are Mavericks -- sad indeed!
Jim Farley was on FOX this morning to announce Ford's return to Formula One Racing . . . . But for the Maverick Hybrid folks out there, I think Farley's comments about the battery manufacturing confirms what many of us have been saying for some time now. I wrote about this sometime back but...
After seeing this article earlier this month (see link) and the fact that the Maverick got a 5 out of 5 in all but one "Crash Test" category, I'm not going to assume anyone died in this Maverick accident. I certainly hope not.
